Final Fantasy XIV introduced the Color Your World update, allowing players to customize and paint the interior walls of their in-game housing. This feature provides more creative freedom for players. The Housing Guide provides a complete and easy start to buying a house in FFXIV, showing how to create wall trim and accent walls. The Remodel menu allows players to change structural elements of a room like wallpaper, flooring, and lighting. FFXIV offers a plethora of housing customization options, allowing players to decorate a house’s interior, add utility furnishings, and adorn wild housing exteriors.
Furnishes like walls, floors, and chandeliers are considered interior and will not be destroyed if swapped out later. The preview indoor furnishings feature allows players to place items like walls, floors, and chandeliers. While it is possible to dye exterior walls, it is not possible to dye interior walls at present. Painting filters include all Painting Oil Painting Riviera/Storm Glade/Serpent Oasis/Flame Ishgard/Alpine Doman Sort: Recipe Level Ascending order Recipe Level.
Some furniture can be dyed, and players can check if it is dyeable by the circular icon in the upper right. MakePlace is a standalone tool to preview, edit, and share housing layouts for FFXIV, allowing players to create an entire layout instead of in-game previewing of individual items.

I’m pretty new to housing, did a few exteriors since I found it fun and got a couple of friends asking me to do interiors now. I’m pretty new to things like colour theory, so the website and tips help a ton, thank you! Do you have a article that might explain kind of the basics of 14 housing? I used a design from someone else and made adjustments and built the basement on my own, but for some stuff I’m completely lost and the house you built is amazing, I’d love to be able to learn to make something similar.
I so wish there was like 300 slots per floor instead of 300 max for a medium. My medium looks so sparse because I like having the open floor plans, when you add walls it really cuts out length for the camera views. But I do love a unique floor plan. I’ve recently begun experimenting with my medium but I need more slots for items! 😂
