Duration is my absolute favorite exterior paint, I work with a small company and we spend 100 – 200,000 a year in duration alone… I have come across only one issue and it was a recent issue….. The paint is bubbling away from the siding at the crease of the bead….. Have had Sherwin-Williams Representatives come out and they said they didn’t know why it was happening……. The home was pressure washed prior but the bubbling also pulls up the original color at some places and some places it doesn’t…… The company this past month spent $9,000 paying the crew to scrape the house and repaint it……. Within days it’s happening again in areas that were scraped really well and all bubbling removed……… Any ideas why this is happening?
I’m painting an exterior next week. The contractor bought rxpeel primer from Sherwin Williams, we try not to use self priming paint. We have always used superpaint but he asked me about duration. If we are priming and then painting is duration significantly better than super paint? If so we plan on using that for now on
