  • Great to see a classic being restored in the true sense and well cared for—she looks superb 🙂 I own an E350 W211–it’s a constant delight so am sure you’re enjoying the refinement and performance of the E55! IMHO keep it as factory original as you can to ensure maximal value and widest interest if you ever sell it.

  • The W211 was honestly the best car Mercedes ever designed. The design has aged so so well it still looks modern today. It’s hard to believe that the W211 was launched 18 years ago! It’s the car that made me a fan of Mercedes when I was 12 years old. My only issue is that it is so tough to find one in good condition.

  • Hey, great job with your AMGs! Btw, friend of mine recommended your article a couple months back, and I’ve wachted almost every one since then. I’m also an MB enthusiast as you are so I can relate. Great knowledge about M113 K motor and 211/219 series. Love acknowledging all of those tips and facts. Respect for high quality production and article thus a viewer can admire and appreciate the clean look of detailed E-Class. Looking forward to the next vid. Best regards from 🇵🇱 Be safe.

  • As you said the bend on the fender and it’s very common on the E55… I got that bend from driving hard on mountain roads and suspensions bottoming out last week. I got the SL wheels on my too and am wondering if that is the reason for it. Its 20mm wider than the stock wheels on both front and back. Also I have a few problems that I don’t know if you have tackled before. First is the roof rack rails. That part have really faded paint and ruined clearcoat. What would you reckon is a good way to remedy that? Second thing is the center console roller. It was stuck in the open position. Have you have that happen before?

  • I’m always so impressed with your articles. Excellent work. The next owner of your car is very lucky. I watched your silver E55 auction on BAT with excitement … to see who the lucky winner was going to be. The price is not affordable to me. I have a chance to buy a 2005 C55 with 85k miles for sale locally. $11,900 USD. Everything works. What do you think?

  • Niiiiiiiiice I love to see these cars restored as an owner of a W212 e class and a W221 s class I have a special place in my heart for black Mercs I hate when I see any mercedes beat up some owners let these cars go to shit when they can’t afford to maintain them it’s always rewarding to see a well and properly maintained Benz especially the older ones you expect the new ones to look nice but nothing beats seeing a older Mercedes

  • Very nice job! I found the part about the rear parcel shelf panel most interesting! Mine is pretty faded, too. Can you provide more detail on the lowering links and wheels? Do you have the lowering links on both ends, front and rear? Why not just lower with Star? Also can ride heights be programmed individually for both, low and high position in Star? And also the speed at which the car lowers automatically? I understand this is all different for different markets / countries. So the wheels are 8.5 and 9.5 x 18? What tire sizes? Best regards, Tadek

  • Hello! I hope you see this comment! I’m looking into buying a 2006 Mercedes E55 AMG with 160k miles and sadly it holds a salvage title. 🙁 but my question to you is if in 2020, is a car like this worth owning and in today’s American dollar what you believe the value might be worth? What you would willing to pay for something like this?
