Would My Freighter’S Interior Transmit No Man’S Sky?

As of 4/2/2023, you can transfer base interiors between freighters, including legacy rooms and items. Everything in your freighter base will transfer to the new freighter, and fleet moves with you, as does the squadron. The price increases as the number of inventory slots and/or class of the freighter increases. Exchanging your current freighter for a new freighter will automatically transfer your current freighter base layout into the new freighter.

The text also mentions a known issue where freighter inventory will not transfer when leaving something behind in your old freighter inventory or cargo. Starting in Prisms, freighter bases became transferable and were automatically transferred upon purchase of a new freighter. However, when you buy a new freighter, you lose your base and can only transfer items if you are buying a new freighter, not if you save one in a previous one.

When you change freighters, your ships will be there, and you can rebuild the storage containers and their contents will still exist inside them. If you decide to take over as captain, you will need to leave something behind in your old freighter inventory or cargo.
