Earl Hindman, an American actor from Arizona, was best known for his role as Wilson W. Wilson, Jr. in the popular sitcom “Home Improvement” (1991-1999). The series lasted for many years and was a recurring gag on the show. Hindman played Wilson’s down-to-earth, yet mysterious next-door neighbor, Tim Taylor, who was portrayed as sagacious and scholarly.
The late Hindman passed away on Monday. His most famous role was that of Wilson W. Wilson, Jr. In Home Improvement, Wilson was a wise and friendly presence in nearly every episode. Hindman shared his thoughtful advice with his friend Tim, but only saw the top of his head.
Another famous role played by Hindman was as Bob Reid on the television soap opera Ryan’s Hope from 1975-1984 and 1988-89. Before joining Home Improvement, Hindman was best known for his work as Lt. Bob Reid on the series Ryan’s Hope.
In the special, Hindman made his appearance, revealing what Wilson had looked like throughout the show.
