Hey Designers Welcome Back to the VLog! Today I’m giving the balloon strip a try for the very first time. I see a lot of people use …
OMG Rachel, i tried both the single hole strips and the double hole strips and the double hole strip is hands down the best of the two. i am making a balloon garland for the first time for my daughter’s baby shower. At first, I was so stressed out, but after perusal your article about ten times, i felt confident that I can do this. I also want to add that is would helpful if you would not talk so fast because that is the reason why i had to watch the article so many times to understand what you were saying. Please don’t take offense to this, Rachel. I just think it might help. Thank you for putting out this article.
Let me start by saying, I’ve never made a balloon garland before! I’m throwing a gender reveal for a friend today and decided to do a balloon garland. This article was SO helpful, but… I ran out of balloon strip. I had a ton more balloons to use. So, I used the cluster method from your other articles and made it happen!! It’s gorgeous and I’m so excited about it. Thank you Rachel!
I had a go at this for my daughters Birthday. Got a kit off Amazon for £10 and have to say it turned out Amazing for my first attempt . I found tying the balloons the most challenging ( nearly cutting off the circulation in my fingers at one point ) but it got easier as I went along : ) Would definitely give it another go. Took me 3 hours to complete though, but was worth it.
This is a wonderful article! Thank you for saving me for my daughter’s party this weekend haha! If I could make a couple friendly suggestion that I think may help you out a little? First is maybe talk a little slower; even tho I appreciate the article being fast and to the point, it does feel a little quick and the other is to invest in a microphone for the sound and audio quality. I’m not sure what you use now, but it sounds like you’re not using a separate microphone so it sounds very grainy and echos slightly on a iPhone. Amazon has some cheap microphones that attach to phones, cameras and article recorders but if you’re doing this for your profession investing in good a quality microphone and lighting is essential. Other than that it’s the perfect backdrop, you do a AMAZING job explaining and showing how to do everything even down to how to tie a ballon and the 2 different styles (1-2 hole plastic pieces)! Your article is the only one I watched out of probably 20-30 that I watched finish to end and even went back a few times to parts. Another handy thing for us viewers is YouTube allows you how to put a list of which parts start on the article. So you can do “intro”: allows us to click it and it will take us to the beginning of you talking about what you’re going to do and then you can do let’s say: “size of balloons and materials, next: “how to tie and shape, next: “how to assemble and then finally “finished product”. That way we can click whatever we want to watch or need to go back to and rewatch easily.
Thank you, You had the best content on using the arch piece we get from amazon,& I did purchase a happy 60th fabric banner for my husband’s surprise birthday party next sunday, Ive learned alot perusal you . I was so glad also last week, I found the electric blow up balloon machine, instead of buying a helium tank from sams for $48 and it wouldnt have blown up all the balloons, Now I will be able to blow up many balloons & reuse the electric pump for many parties for our granddaughters, and our dil’s 40th coming in November. God bless you Mrs josette Tharp Montgomery County, Texas Oh can I use the pump to blow up the big 40in 60 number balloons ???? Or do u have content on that ? I will look and new subscriber.
hi, my issue is that whenever I blow up my balloon, there is always a darker spot on the top of the balloon which I can’t get rid of especially when I don’t blow up my balloon all the way. Since it is in the middle of the balloon, it’s very noticeable and I think it will make the garland look bad. Do you have any suggestions or ways to prevent it?
Wow!!!! Can you do tutorials on everything in my life. LOL! I rarely comment on You Tube and generally hate perusal long tutorials as it’s usually people just talking too much. But every single bit of this tutorial was informative and at an amazing pace. Every question I would think of while perusal, you then eventually expalined thoroughly, clear, and quick. Great job and thank you for the knowledge!
This is so cool. I’m planning an event for my work/university and I really want a balloon garland, however, I didn’t want to allocate too much money from the budget nor did I feel confident doing it the standard way. This is awesome! Definitely will try this. I think I can do that much!! Thanks a bunch!!
I used a balloon strip when I ordered a kit but it was not fun at all. It was my first time doing a garland and I wanted to use everything I received. The balloons kept popping out and I couldn’t get more than one in the hole like you did. I am going to do another balloon garland for my sister again (like you said, practice on family and friends). This time I’m going to order some 260’s to sting them together.
Why does she have to be so condescending about the balloon strip the entire time? There’s some people that just want to be able to use this to do something cute for their kids not to have this giant professional look not everyone can afford hundreds of dollars they just want to do something cute that will make their kids feel special. It seems to me she’s giving Vibes that it’s beneath her
Hi! Thank you! I just ordered some Amazon package as a DIY for my daughter’s birthday and then started to research and have now come to the realization that it might have been better to buy balloon individually and make it myself, but this is a great article! I’m going to try and use those kits and make the best out of it! I know better for next time I try to DIY a balloon garland! Thank you so much!
