Placement Of Furniture In Ffxiv?

The “Preview Indoor Furnishings” feature allows players to place and move furniture around their houses, allowing them to try it out before buying it. However, it excludes Mogstation/event items and interior fixtures. To place furniture, select the “Social” menu, choose “Housing”, and choose “Remodel Interior” to change flooring, wall, and chandelier.

Players can place up to 100 furnishings in an apartment using various indoor housing-specific features such as Flowerpots, The Unending Journey, Orchestrion, Armoire, Crystal Bell, Summoning Bells, and the employ of NPCs. To place a furnishing, open the Housing menu and select “Indoor or Outdoor Furnishings”.

The “Housing” option in the social menu brings up the option to change different room details such as description, interior, and more. When placing housing items, two bubble buttons are located at the bottom of the toolbar.

To place a wall shelf, use the Move Tool to place it at a convenient location and place one or more tabletop objects on it. Place a Glade Partition to create a more organized and functional space in your house.

In summary, the “Preview Indoor Furnishings” feature in FFXIV allows players to place and move furniture around their houses, allowing them to experiment with different layouts and features. By using the “Social” menu, players can manage their furniture placement and rotation, making FFXIV one of the best decorating systems in any MMO.

  • I neeeedddd help! Can you remove the stage partitions (or walls…whatever it’s called) after floating?!?! Or do you have to design the wall to blend in? I kept trying to see how I would do with stairs and nope. At this point I can’t even figure out where to put my damn house plant! And subbed. Beautiful work. I just cry in fail.

  • Ok my house is coming together slowly. I have used white partitions for all my walls and dyed them. How can I put a window on the walls so that light comes in? I also saw a article (can’t remember who did it) where I think they used the wooden loft. It looked really neat but I’m wondering do I need to place all my items first? Like I want to put my bed (it’s all Japanese style), maybe a Asian bathtub, stuff like that. I’m just concerned that if I confirm it I won’t be able to move the items or put other items on top. Sorry for the confusion! But I’m confused lol. Thank you!

  • I’m gonna lose my mind honestly. I’m on PC and it won’t show the subcommand options when trying to place the loft from the inventory it will only show the place option when taking it out of storage but when I try to place and esc it won’t glitch like it’s supposed to. I have no idea how to fix this or what is going wrong I’m pulling out my hair anyone have any suggestions???

  • A friend of mine directed me here, Im having a very hard time trying to get the dancing pole to float, I cant seem to get it off the ground at all. My goal is to try to replicate a flight of stairs i saw on a tutorial, but they dont go into detail on how to float the poles. Using the method you demonstrated here works on a lot of other things ive tested just for practice, but the pole is just not wanting to budge. Do you think the height adjustment as you mentioned in your tutorial might be at play here?

  • Well, I’m having partial success. I can lift the bed I’m using, just like in the article, but as soon as I remove the panel and loft the bed snaps back to the floor. Did SE make this impossible now? It’s really frustrating because I get the bed (it’s the one with the pink flowers) boosted to the elevation I like but then I open up the housing menu again and move something, even something not connected to the bed and loft, and the bed resets again.

  • thank you so much for the help, I just got one problem playing today, seeing your article is eight months old but.. I tried this trick and it does lift my furniture up but as soon as I leave my flat and get back in, the main item is back on the ground and not on the floating loft anymore.. any tricks to prevent that perhaps? Thank you so much in advance <3
