To start your Dodge Durango, connect the black cable of the multimeter to the negative terminal of the battery and the red cable to the positive terminal. The voltage should be between 13.5 and 14.8 volts with the engine running. Switch on the accessories in your Durango, such as headlights, AC fan at full speed, and interior lights.
When the Lights button is pressed on the touchscreen, the system displays options related to the vehicle’s exterior and interior lights. To turn off the interior lights, press the button on the center console that says “Lights”. To protect the life of your vehicle’s battery, load shedding Courtesy Lights is provided for both.
To reset your gauges, press the odemeter button and hold it in the “Lights” position. Close the driver’s side door, verify that the dome lamp goes off after approximately 3 seconds, and turn the ignition to the “OFF” position. Timers are set to both the interior and exterior lights to protect the life of your vehicle’s battery. If there are two batteries, make sure both are disconnected.
In the interior power door lock switch, push the lock button on the exterior, and use the passive entry door handle with a key to open the door.

Oh WOW! Not even sure how I turned it on, probably hit it by accident opening the liftgate and it’s been driving me nut for a week, I even put duct tape over it so at night it doesn’t drive me insane and this WHOLE time! It was that damn little button! SMH, thank you for saving me the embarrassment of going to the dealer about the light!
