In a 2016 Outback, how do you remove the left front door sill trim? You can undo some snaps using a plastic body tool on the seat side near the a and b pillars and some snaps on the outside edge but it still remains. Has anyone removed the exterior trim on their 2nd gen.? I’ve been trying to find pictures of one but haven’t had any luck. Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the exterior door trim or molding, whatever you refer to it as?

To remove the front drivers’ side door panel 2004-09 Subaru Outback, insert a plastic clip remover into the slit at the bottom of the door trim to lift the door trim. Remove the cables (a) and (b) from the cable holder of inner remote. Disconnect the harness connector and remove the trim.

It’s pretty easy once you get past step one. Twist the door handle (inside of car) from the rear side inward. Start at the rear of the door and pry the moulding away from the door slowly with a putty knife or similar. Use a plastic pry bar to pop them out of the side of the door. Once you get a few of these out, you can actually pull the trim.
