  • Drew, I absolutely love the evolution of your spaces. I have had my home for thirty years and I love to redesign spaces that are either not being utilised fully or just because the needs of the family has changed. As we have grown and children moved away or we have transitioned from needing a play room to an adult cosy space we can redesign our spaces so our home grows with us. Each iteration is different and doesn’t mean what we did previously was wrong it just means we have evolved. Keep growing in your home, it’s a joy to share the experience with you.

  • I think a little electric fire place would be nice. Add a bar cart. It has almost a pub feel. Thank you for being so appreciative of your viewers. Your sponsors are always spot on and useful. Your articles are so well done and thoughtful. Your enthusiasm for your home is so charming. You’ve really created a beautiful space. We enjoy seeing Justin too.

  • I’ve noticed that many of your paintings are either in not great condition (like the decomposing one) or very yellowed due to non-UV protective materials used back then. I highly recommend sending some to someone name Baumgartner restorations who is here on youtube, he restores paintings to make them also last longer for the future and restores the paintings to how they used to look like how the artist envisioned.

  • I always love seeing your vision unfold. I noticed also how the painting of the woman in the neighboring room tied into the sofa. It pops so nicely against the wall and the pillows tied it together. I love the stools as a table and the portability of them is brilliant. I agree to dry rub the fox medallions-such a cool touch to the windows. The art you chose was the best option with the other decor. The only thing that I am not a fan of are those fluffy flowers(forget the name). Great job!

  • I personally love the black chair and white chair combo but I understand people liking two white chairs and keeping them together. I think with the black chair, it looks even more interesting with more texture and color! The look of symmetry with both white chairs would be nice and the arms are just stunning!

  • Drew, this could have been a 2part or 3part- i would watch every step as would everyone else. Your process means SO much, not just the result. I love all that you do and every article is a learning curve. The Lone Fox, foxes.. perhaps “Lone Fox” somewhere on them? I definitely want one. Humanitarian view, Foxes have a bad rep… You can change that.❤ Thank you for everything, YOU.

  • I have to tell the truth. I was super disappointed that the office look was going since I loved that from start to finish instantly. I wasn’t so sure about your new vision of the space but a few articles in of perusal your website back when you were renting I learned very quickly to trust your decorating instincts since you knock it out of the park each and every time. Now I just watch and trust it will unfold as your vision comes to life. This is another which is so stunning and charming. That upholstered chair is absolute perfection! Every single piece of decor is perfection and is so well curated and I loved the other paint colour and love this one just as much. Those foxes are amazing and so charming as well.

  • Sometimes, you just need to experience a space for a while to decide how it should be used. Good decision. The room is now warm, rich and inviting. I could happily curl up on that lounge with a good book and a drink. Great for entertaining friends too. I hope you’ll enjoy the space more in its new iteration.

  • Great article. I loved the transformation and the fox plaques. Don’t sell the other reupholstered chair! Keep the set! It would look better and help the overall value for resale later! And for the tall element on the right I would suggest finding a barstool that matches the other stools and that would look so very cute.

  • I hope you love it ( for now, at least) which is the most important thing, but I really favored the olive green color. That was so beautiful but that’s me and I don’t live there so I am so happy that it makes you happy! It’s always fun to see you create, or recreate, a new space. Absolutely love the fox decals and the art you chose over the couch is stunning!!

  • Well, when you completed your lounge, actually, what popped into my mind as soon as you were built, it was, “🦊The Foxy Cantina”. I love the color you painted the walls. I really like the color before, but for the vibe I think you’re going for the darker color is gorgeous. But if I have to choose just one thing that I loved most in the room, it would have to be what you did with the windows .

  • Hi Drew, I’m so happy with all your success through all these years on YouTube. I love your design style and your articles. However, the stools as a coffee table does is not a cute idea and the glass lamp 100% do not go in that room. Please keep both buttery wool chairs for your new lounge. You’ll regret selling the gorgeous matching chair. They are pretty amazing and go perfectly with that spectacular couch. The horsey picture is Perfect for that space and stunning to look at. Huge fan.

  • The couch looks really nice with the wall color. I loved the original green, but for what you’re turning the space into i do like this safe of green. Green is my fav color & I love all shades😉 Oh Goodness the little fix heads are so precious! I love🦊🧡 And I love what you did with them.. they look awesome! My fav art pieces were the one you actually used & the framed one. I really like the light fixture & those shades are super cute! Wow I love the idea of the stools in the center instead of a coffee table.. makes so much sense, especially in a smaller room! I love anything old & made of wood & i love old stools! I have this obsession with old chairs. Mainly side chairs, smaller chairs, kids chairs, wood or upholstered. That chair you just got is gorgeous!🤍 I actually have a little side table almost identical to the one you have the lamp on. Same shape color & i think the same size. Love the lounge, looks awesome! Now you need a “Lonefox Lounge” neon sign, maybe hang it over the black & white picture! Another gorgeous room added to your gorgeous home!!

  • You really have an eye for choosing exceptional vintage pieces of furniture. Your dark rattan round chair is unbelievable! I’ve never seen something like that. I wouldn’t put that in my home but my ex-father in law would be crazy about it, he used to sell mid-century vintage pieces. I also think you should keep the two reupholstered chairs together because they have more value when they are sold as a pair. The painting you chose for that room is the best. You could call this room “the Fox Room”.

  • ❤ Love all your reveals!! Magical well done Sir. The music is very You during your reveals makes it a special moment & those new fox head crests are lovely. Brilliant idea to paint & place in window. Don’t let anyone tell you that you’re not the very best cause you are!! Top notch thanks for sharing. Lone Fox lounge is perfect. The paint with the wall texture, the couch (always loved), the fox crests, & painting 😂wait that’s everything love it all.

  • I love the fox heads! So cute! How does it look from more backwards to have the large sofa in the « main » living room and then an other sofa behind it ? I thought the contrast of the desk vs living room was really nice before, but it’s sad if the room isn’t ever used. Hope this will receive more love! It looks very welcoming.

  • WOW.. great room..but I would love having both of the chairs that you had redone. The whicker looking one just doesn’t look comfy to sit on. I liked the light fixture..you always seem to put a new one up in each room you redo, what happened to all the gorgeous ones that were hanging when you bought the house?😊

  • Even if a person does have the biggest house I’ve ever seen (that would be you lol) there’s absolutely no reason to waste a whole room just because you did it last year and you feel bad about changing it. I think we all know that you are a human, therefore you’re going to change your mind sometimes. Don’t sweat the small stuff, buddy.

  • Drew, I think this makeover is more stunning than your first one, if that is possible. The paint color is perfect! A dark green is hard to find the right shade, tint, and intensity, and you nailed it. At first, the color swatches on the wall looked blue on the article, and I thought, “What are you thinking!”, but when you opened the can, I was pleasantly surprised. It is the perfect background for your leather sofa. It is stunning. I also love the new chair. The light color makes it stand out against the dark wall. Also, it is a great choice on the hanging light. This is another homerun all around. 😊😊😊

  • You’ve outdone yourself again!!! The office was stunning, yes. But this makeover and room vibe is too good! I can’t pick one thing that’s my favorite because almost everything is… the paint colour, chef’s kiss! The fox crest on the windows 🤯 and the couch, especially the colour against that wall colour 😍! Then the plant stand… I was like, what’s he doing with that? I was picturing a pot plant lol but that vase with the dried florals was like the cherry on top! Plus the vintage barware… this room is everything!!! 💚😍

  • It’s beautiful! I’d stack those bookshelves with old books of varying topics and add brass bookshelf lights. That way the room doubles as a small library/reading room and a den. Perhaps even substitute the darker accent chair for a brass bar cart. I’d so love to curl up in the sofa with a book in hand drinking a dirty martini whilst all that light pours in through the uncovered windows!

  • I agree with the commenter that suggested calling it The 🦊 Den!! Speaking of 🦊, the little 🦊 plaques are stunning and really add to the old world look of the space. Every time that I think you can’t make a space look more amazing, you make a liar out of me!!! This room looks like the perfect napping spot for a late winter afternoon with the sun slanting low across the sofa. Ooh, it’s just so yummy! Absolutely well done!! 👏🦊❤

  • Oh my gosh, I can’t even say enough about how much I love the choices you made for The Lone Fox Lounge! But let me try! The chair you had redone is GORGEOUS! The curve of the arms?!?!!! I’m so happy with your pick of the over the couch painting. It was WAY my favorite and looks like it was made for this space. And the wooden stools for moveable side tables? GENIUS! I love it all. Thank you for sharing it!

  • I want to say that I listen to Justin’s added information all the time and he is very knowledgeable. Impressive. I think this is my favorite room because it’s also the palette for my primary bedroom. I used Valspar Tarragon on all the walls and painted the baseboards, too, which I think looks so good. I left the ceiling light because the room doesn’t get much natural light. I love dark paint and especially dark olive with gold/tan, cognac/caramel, brown, and cream. There’s something about it! I looked to Jake Arnold (btw also like Leanne Ford, who’s style is morphing, since she uses so many elements that others would rip out and make new). I’m a huge fan of velvet drapes, repurposing items – I’ve also re-designed one room several times which is finally my den/office. I used a golden tan “Tribal Medallion” rug under the bed from Amazon that I love so much, plus cream/oatmeal velvet drapes and cover for a big chair. I also love vintage looking art and gallery walls, so I prefer several different frames including wood and gold tone in different styles. This look isn’t just nice design, it creates a real environment due to the colors.

  • The 3D printed medallions were a stroke of genius. Such a clever and beautiful way to make that window fit the room! Also, I cannot believe how invested I was in the choice of a painting. The instant you showed the horse painting I knew that was the one…I actually did a double-fist-pump, “Yes!” when it showed up in your beautiful frame!

  • Mm…favorite element? That’s hard to choose. I think my favorite thing about the room is the sort of color palette/vignette created by the wall color, sofa, and painting. Also a big fan of the foxes, of course! I love how you dress up your windows in different ways. ☺️ Shoutout to the pretty glass alcohol decanter, too!

  • Oh, Drew, I LOVE it! I thought I loved the office and would be sad to see it go, but no. This space is stunning! One of my favorites to date alongside your closet-office. And I am so glad to see you redo spaces—homes are meant to be lived in, not just showrooms! I still love that olive green (so pretty!), but the way this deeper green interacts with the living room and sets the space apart? LOVE. It’s like a little jewel box or a stained glass window and I adore it.

  • I remember when you did the office. I know what it’s like to fix up a room and for some reason it doesn’t draw you in. This came out great. I agreecwith others thst voted for the two upholstered chairs!!! Please try them. Even if you don’t like it, don’t bust up a pair with those great arms. Sell the other chair instead😂 Maybe DIY a couple of nesting tables or buy inexpensive, but those stools bring the room down, in my opinion. The vignette looking into the room, starting with the beautiful frame of the arch, is everything. Have you met baby Cade, yet?

  • Even tho your work is beyond beautiful and you are very talented, I find your content became very ‘unreliable’. I’m sure that 99% of your viewers do not have spaces like shown in your home and neither can decorate spaces inspired by your work because we cannot find similar pieces. Overall, very pretty buy nothing we can relate to, its like perusal celebrity AD home tour.

  • Better than the last one. Maybe next time will be the one. This space SCREAMS to be wallpapered ! I think that because it is an odd space I an older home, it just isn’t defined as a living space for a modern lifestyle, but defining it as a bar is probably on the right track. Your sense of style is impeccable tho, and I do love your content.

  • Well, you’ve lost me. When you said you were going to do something interesting in that window, I thought you meant so it would show from the outside. It would be cool if the one strange window from the outside of your house had something interesting in it, and stained glass would’ve been great. I don’t know where you shop, and I know that you often buy secondhand, but there is no way in the world that it should cost $2000 each window for stained glass. There are so many people that make it, and I’m sure at some little craft fair you could find something lovely. Anyway, I understand putting up the mullions, because that does decorate the windows, but I just don’t understand the foxes. You can’t see them from outside. The window doesn’t look placed strangely when you’re in the room, it’s from the outside that counts. You’ve just lost me. I do not get it.

  • Your lounge is beautiful. I love the window work and that painting with the couch is stunning. That one ratan chair needs another place. It does not fit the decor to me, and it makes the room way too dark. The other matching chair will make the dark room soften in an A shape look and give more light to the room. The two stools look like an afterthought from a dorm room. You need a matching wood spindle bench. Or better close to the woods you have to give similar color but different woods. Take the stools for end tables to the chairs for drinks and having a bench as a coffee table can help you serve drinks and food. Something textured but not too big. Love the lighting. It softens the dark contrast and the geometrical painting. Those lampshades made a huge difference to give a lighter color and softness. And I do love the plant next to the window, but it seems a little overpowering. The painting is the focal point, and the plant interferes with it. If it could be in a stem vase and thinned out, I believe it would be better. And your window is another focal point when getting into the room. It seems to clash with that too, along with the ratan chair. that wall needs softening to me. But this is your home. And you do what you want. you do have good taste for the Spanish California revival style you desire.

  • I really love how this room turned out! The colors are wonderful, the room feels inviting and comfy. Totally love the fox heads, brilliant! They are charming and align really well with the Arts and Crafts vibe in your house. Love the tassel light fixture and the vignette of the sofa with the artwork through the archway. I agree with so many of the other comments about keeping both white chairs together and eliminating the rattan one from this space. I have a small living room so I eliminated having a coffee table in favor of several small tables that I keep tucked away but can be pulled out when needed. It’s really practical to keep the center of the room open because it allows you to easily navigate the space – great call on using the stools in place of the coffee table. The only thing I’d change would be to move the sconces closer to the artwork. Right now, they are kind of floating without an anchor. Overall, this is probably my favorite makeover in your home.

  • I mean, the room is beautiful I just don’t get the purpose of it. I mean it’s a lounge room right next to a living room while you already have a media room and a lobby. Like how many lounging spots do you need realistically speaking and is spending that amount of time money and effort on so many lounge spaces even worth it?😅
