How To Activate The Lights Inside A Prius?

This video provides an overview of how to control all interior lights in a Toyota vehicle. The video explains how to locate the instrument panel dimmer switch on the left side of the steering wheel, which is a dial control. Turn the dial down to dim the instrument panel lights, and turn the dial up to brighten them.

In a 2010 Prius, the intensity of the interior lights can be adjusted by rotating the thumb wheel left to the steering wheel. To turn off the lights, push the button to fold the mirrors, turn off the lights, or turn off the car, the interior lights come on themselves. This feature is designed to light the interior as you approach the car with the key fob.

For newer Prius or Prius Prime, you can change the display brightness of both the small screens and the larger navigation screen. If you recently replaced your 2011 Prius lights with LED bulbs, you should have a switch inside the car that toggles between door, on, and off. The switch should be in the middle position, one side on, the other off.

There are two switches that control the interior lights coming on when the door is open. The obvious one is in the complete center of the car. To adjust the intensity of the lights, rotate the thumb wheel left to the steering wheel, and turn the dimmer wheel all the way up, past the little click, and then down until it clicks slightly. If your dash lights are not functioning properly, you can adjust the brightness by pressing the button on the dash behind the leftmost portion of the steering wheel, just above the time adjustment button.
