@RCVSEAN This is a slab foundation so this is really a best practice for water intrusion and air penetration. In our Hot/Humid climate I prefer to use open cell foam so the house can dry to the inside. We mainly air condition our homes so moisture can dry to the inside and open cell foam allows that moisture to transfer to the inside. Hope that helps, Matt
