Plasti Dip is a versatile and durable material that can be used to customize and protect your car’s interior trim. It comes in an aerosol can, and it can change the color of anything you spray. The first layer should be a light dusting, and the entire car should be dipped. This process is easy to follow, and can be achieved using various tools and accessories.
To use Plasti Dip, you need a large pro car kit, which includes the DYC DipSprayer™ System, 4 Gallons of Rubber Dip Spray, tape, DipWasher®, Decals, mixing stick, Dip Guard, and Paint Stirrer. Plasti Dip can withstand freezing temperatures and direct sunlight without warping or melting, making it highly durable. It is easy to remove and peels off when needed.
To apply Plasti Dip to car interior trim pieces, you will need a can of Plasti Dip, a rag or paper towel, cleaner/degreaser, newspaper, and painters tape. You can either leave the pieces alone, buy either the silver trim or Cube trim (found in M-Sports/ZHP), and paint it. To do this right, you should light sand the surface to promote adhesion and use a proper product to remove oil from the surface being painted.
In summary, Plasti Dip is a versatile and durable material that can be applied to any car or car accessory. It can be used to cover up wear and tear on interior trim pieces, but it is important to follow proper procedures and precautions to ensure a professional-looking result.

📹 Painting Interior Plastics – Krylon vs. Duplicolor vs. Plastidip
Testing out the best method of painting interior panels on my 1999 Outback Sport. Using: Krylon Plastic Paint Duplicolor Vinyl …
Thus was the exact article i needed. I want to paint a cozy coupe (kids plastic car) but trying to see which paint, if any, could withstand a toddler. Three screwdriver is exactly what i needed to see. Thanks. Krylon fusion boasts bonding w the plastic without using a primer. Almost had me convinced until i saw this lol
Duplicolor doesn’t fully cure until many hours after the final coat was put on. It’s best to use lot of very light dusting costs compared to one thick coat like that. I’ve had really good results with the black duplicolor. Just be prepared to leave your parts out in the open for at least 2 days before getting them in the car. The smell is really strong
I tried to do a beige plastic interior of a Tercel to black many years ago. I washed, lightly sanded, degreased and tried multiple plastic paints, but they all scratched, so as long as you never touched them, they would look fine. If I did it again, I would buy RIT Synthetic dye, and dye them in a heated tub, or try some type of wrap. The dye method would definitely be my “go to” first choice.
