Can You Modify The Radio Inside Your Scion Tc?

This video demonstrates how to replace the radio on a 2007 Scion TC, as well as other models with similar radios. The video also covers how to update a stock Pioneer radio in a 2011 TC and how to replace the low (6-1/2) speakers in the left and right speakers.

The 2010 Scion TC comes with a factory Pioneer Double Din Radio, which is a great OEM radio. To upgrade the stereo, you can unplug the wires in the back of the radio and install a custom deck. If you want to install a custom deck, you must remove the slide SCION cover.

Removing the factory radio is a simple project that even a first-time DIYer can handle. You can swap out the headunit with any double-DIN unit, swap out the front speakers+tweeters easily, and the same with the rears. The factory sub will change the color of the gauges and radio if you are good with a soldering iron.

For those who are not confident in using a soldering iron, you can change the LED’s inside the unit. Turn off the radio and hold either the center button on the wheel or the menu button for about 5 seconds.

In addition, there is a question about how to change or personalize the welcome screen on the Premium Head Unit. There is no information available on how to do this.
