The Tabernacle, a portable place of worship, was built by the Israelites after being rescued from slavery in Egypt. The construction involved the use of cedar wood, gold, silver, and bronze, with the Israelites contributing to the construction through free-will offerings. Acacia poles overlaid with gold were used for carrying the tabernacle, which was constructed of four woven layers of curtains and 48 15-foot tall standing wood boards overlaid in gold. The tabernacle was richly furnished with valuable materials taken from Egypt.
The Tabernacle was built in the wilderness, with the first built in stone, the Pyramid of Pharaoh Doser (27th century B.C.E.), in Saqqara. Sundried mud bricks were the most used material until modern times, particularly in coastal plains and valleys. Structures were roofed with timber wooden beams covered by reeds and rushes. Temples were generally built with stone since they were meant to be permanent.
The Israelites’ task was to manufacture mudbricks, which was further confirmed in Exodus 1. The intentional blending of diverse materials, such as wood, metals, and fabrics, mirrored the unity of purpose that defined the Israelite people. Over £160,000 of gold and over 34,000 of silver, along with quantities of linen, precious stones, rare spices, oil, blue, purple, scarlet dyes, etc., were used in the construction.
The Tabernacle was built using materials such as acacia wood, gold, silver, and bronze, with its design incorporating specific instructions symbolizing spiritual growth. Ordinary grass and cereal straw were incorporated into mud bricks to prevent cracking during drying out.

What were Israel house made of?
Concrete-built edifices are typically clad in stucco and contain a kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. In accordance with the traditional Jewish concept of the “eating corner,” the dining room is frequently situated in close proximity to the living room.
What kind of houses did ancient Israelites live in?
The four-room house, also known as an “Israelite house” or a “pillared house”, is a type of mud and stone house characteristic of the Iron Age of Levant. Its floor plan is divided into four sections, with some not being proper rooms. The name “four-room house” comes from its floor plan being divided into four sections, which may not be proper rooms. The pillars are not the defining feature of the four-room house, leading to confusion with other buildings like storehouses and stables.
The popularity of the four-room house began at the beginning of Iron Age I (end of the eleventh century BCE) and dominated the architecture of Israel through Iron Age II until the Babylonian Exile. After the destruction of Judah (of the seventh and sixth centuries BCE), the architecture type was no longer utilized.
There have been multiple theories on why the four-room house construction was so popular. Architectural analysis can be made of residential units by their grouping, relationship between structures, size, internal divisions, and the size and structure of the families that inhabited them. Disparity in house sizes and build quality within towns may be a result of socio-economic stratification within cities.
The four-room house reflects an egalitarian ideology, with all inner rooms directly accessible from the house’s central space, suggesting that all rooms were equal and there was no hierarchy to the space. This contrasts with the typical Canaanite-Phoenician dwelling, which had a layout where some rooms could only be entered through other rooms, showing a hierarchy of access.
What kind of buildings are in Israel?
Israel’s architecture has been shaped by various architectural styles, often adapted to the local climate and landscape. It includes Byzantine churches, Crusader castles, Islamic madrasas, Templer houses, Arab arches, Russian Orthodox onion domes, International Style modernist buildings, sculptural concrete Brutalist architecture, and glass-sided skyscrapers. Ancient regional architecture can be divided into two phases based on building materials: stone and sundried mud brick.
Limestone was the primary stone used, with hard limestone used for columns, capitals, bases, and Herodian enclosure walls. Basalt was used for building stone, door sockets, door pivots, and drainage. Fieldstone was used for polygonal structures, while rough-hewn stones and ashlars were used for more complex structures. Large stones were used since the first century B. C., and stone dressing was primarily done with a chisel and hammer.
Did Israelites build pyramids?
The pyramids were already in existence for at least a thousand years by the time of the Exodus narrative. In accordance with the Passover Haggadah, the cities of Pithon and Ramses were constructed by Pharaoh’s Jewish slaves.
What did the Israelites use to build their homes?
The house was a common style of dwelling during the Iron Age, particularly in Israel and Judah. It consisted of a white-plastered area for food processing and household tasks, a cobblestone paved area for stabling animals, and a long broad room for long-term storage. The second floor was for sleeping and entertaining guests, possibly reached via stairs or ladders. The walls were made of roughly-hewn stone blocks, and the roof was made of wooden beams covered with branches and smoothed down clay. This style of house was also found in Ammon, Moab, Edom, and Philistia. The house was built with roughly-hewn stone walls and a roof made of wooden beams covered with branches and smoothed down clay.
What did the Israelites use to make bricks?
The narrative elucidates that bricks were not manufactured without straw; rather, they were obliged to collect and prepare their own straw, which was initially delivered to them, necessitating their investment of time and effort in this process.
What were the Israelites making with clay?
The Israelites were assigned the task of manufacturing mud bricks, as evidenced in Exodus 1:14. This involved the Egyptian workforce performing arduous labour in mortar, brick, and fieldwork, which resulted in a challenging and oppressive existence.
What kind of houses did Israelites live in?
The typical home of a sedentary Israelite was constructed with a stone foundation, mudbrick or wattle and daub walls, and a wooden second story. The dimensions of the building were constrained by the presence of beams and pillars, and the ground floor was allocated to the housing and storage of animals.
Did the Israelites make bricks without straw?
In retaliation, Pharaoh 3 believed the Israelites had too much time on their hands and intensified their work load by depriving them of the straw necessary to make bricks. They were required to find sufficient stubble/straw on their own without any reduction in the expected quota of bricks. Mudbrick was a common construction material in the ancient world, and understanding its use can help us better understand the message of the Bible. Moses demanded that Pharaoh release the Israelites to go “hold a feast (to Yahweh) in the wilderness” (Exodus 5:1).
In retaliation, Pharaoh 3 intensified their work load by depriving them of the straw necessary to make bricks, requiring them to find sufficient stubble/straw on their own without any reduction in the expected quota of bricks.
What kind of construction did the Israelites do in Egypt?
The Bible does not claim that the pyramids were built by the Israelites, as most of the pyramids were built centuries before the period in question. Egyptian archaeological sources reveal that the pyramids were built by native Egyptians who were specialists in stone brick construction. Instead, the biblical text describes Israelite slaves working in mud brick construction. The Israelites not only built the buildings but also made the bricks, as demonstrated in Exodus 5. Pharaoh’s decree in Exodus 5 reveals another dimension to the work, namely the gathering of straw for brick production.
What is the main building material in Jerusalem?
Jerusalem limestone, sourced from nearby hills in Palestine’s central highlands, has been the city’s primary building material since antiquity. Its structural skeleton and flesh give the cityscape its golden hue. Local stonemasons have long admired the material’s qualities and varieties, with each type having a local name based on its texture, tint, and malleability. Every stone contributes to the sediments of matter and history that make up Jerusalem.
In a city where the sacred and mythical are deeply ingrained, stone’s materiality is crucial. Formations of natural rock and human-assembled masonry are considered divine links between Earth and the heavens. Jerusalem’s stones carry transcendental virtues that supersede the material’s tangible qualities. Stone has great significance to Abrahamic religions, and there are many quarries near Jerusalem.

This is great. I just finished Exodus a few days ago. There were a lot of descriptions of how the Tabernacle was to be made. But now actually seeing a model of it, it makes a lot of sense why God was very specific on how it was supposed to be made. Thank you for your hard work with this. Have a blessed day.
I am so thankful to see this! As I’m reading the scripture about it I wanted to see it …and here it is!!! I can’t wait to see the Holy City during the Millennium.. its going to be magnificent! Thank you Jesus!! This rendition took my breath away just imagining what it was like to build this and Know God would be there!!!
This is a very interesting and helpful model. I’m sure you have many people debating the minutiae and details, but this visual aid is helpful for imagining the parameters laid out at the end of Exodus. It’s very difficult to imagine in your mind’s eye several chapters of exacting specific details. Thanks for this! God bless, friend.
I’m reading Exodus 25. I don’t know if you ever read that chapter but YHWH tells Moses and Aaron how to build the first Tabernacle. When I tell you that YHWH is a master architect that’s putting it lightly. And I looked up how the Tabernacle would have looked on YouTube. It is spectacular, it’s wonderful, it’s beautiful it’s the greatest of the greatest work.
Thank you for making a virtual article of All the things that were tied to the Tabernacle of the Lord. 🙏❤️🕊️💒 Thank you for the music in the background. It helped add to the visual effects. Thank you for keeping this sacred and for allowing the Spirit to testify of the symbolisms found in and around the Tabernacle of the Lord. ❤️🕊️🙏 This reminded me of the times I have been in the Temples of today. I hope these reminders can help me remember the Sacredness and the Promises I have made in the Holy Temple. I think sharing these articles in connection of God’s Holy Temples could help in someone’s preparation in attending the Holy Temple of the Lord for either the First time or for preparing to attend again and again. 💒❤️🕊️🙏 God bless you and those who were a part of these presentations. 😊🙏❤️🕊️💒✝️🌤️
So beautiful and inspiring that we now can enter the Holy of Holies through the death of Jesus Christ. Hebrews 10:18-20 “And where these have been forgiven, an offering for sin is no longer needed. 19.Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20. by the new and living way opened for us through the curtain of His body,…”
Happy Easter, everybody. To be honest, it was my forefathers who supported early Christianity. From the older brother of Roman Emperor Vespasian (Titus Flavius Sabinus) to Roman Senators (the name was passed on for several generations) behind the throne called ‘The Mayors of the Palace’ (Saint Arnulf of Metz is on my YDNA line) for the Merovingian dynasty (also my cousins). Holy Roman Emperor Charlemagne was also my cousin through King Clovis. My line was from the younger son (Childebrand 1st of Perracy) to the early founder of the Savoy dynasty (Nibelungids to Count Humbert 1st of Savoy). I share a common ancestry with the current crown Prince of the Savoy dynasty – Prince Filibert and competitor Duke of Aosta through Duke Charles Emmanuel (1580-1630). I am from the lineage of the illegitimate son of King Charles Felix of Sardinia. Even King James Stuart is my cousin (5th paternal cousin 3 times removed) who created the Bibles used today.
Tabernacle was the place where the Lord was praised, Who presented Himself to Moses as The Word. Later The Word became human, the known to all of us Lord Jesus Christ. The Son of The Father, of one essence and equally worshipped with Him and the third Face, the Holy Spirit. That’s why we say “in the name of The Father, The Son (The Word) and the Holy Spirit”, and we don’t say “in the names of…”. God has three Faces, but He is one we are referred to one, not many.
Heavenly Jerusalem is a pyramid-shaped city 15000 by 15000 by 15000! It’s not a square and there’s is not a globe Genesis chapter 1 verse 1 through 10 dry land is the Earth not a globe! Which is exactly why when it comes down and it lands on the face of the Earth it will land flat because it is on landing on the dry land
Thats not the tabernacle of moses, Thats the Tabernacle of GOD” Temporary type”The israelites had they’re own tent” “tabernacle” Once JESUS fullfill and put an end to the old rituals, Now the promise is that GOD’S GLORY AND HOLLY SPIRIT will dwel in your heart and mind, Because your now the Temple having JESUS CHRIST as the Corner stone to hold the whole buildind, and the Law is in your mind not in stone plates anymore.
Wrong supposed to be blue purple scarlet for the veils. And the set up of the holy place is wrong. “And thou shalt set the table without the vail, and the candlestick over against the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south: and thou shalt put the table on the north side.” (Exodus 26:35, RNKJV) Candle stick goes right up against the table of shew bread…according to Yahweh.
Thanks for the 3D…but you missed one part guys….that was the book of Law… Deu 31:24 KJV And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished, Deu 31:25 That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying, Deu 31:26 Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.
We are robbers, liars, adulterers, sinners, when we go to the court, the only way to pay for what we did is to go to prison (you can’t do good deeds to repay the bad you’ve already done, you have to face the consequences of your actions), if our sin was done against a policeman, the time spent in prison will be higher; judge higher, president; higher, the punishment against God is eternal prison, but if we have someone that will pay our debt we will be set free and this person is Jesus Christ. If you accept in your heart that He died for your sins, today, you will be saved and you’ll never be able to lose your salvation
this was the father’s way under moses law,the high priest was the only one who entered behind the veil to represent the people of God, before the father, once a year to be atoned for their sins, but it’s our saviour jesus, who took the place of the priest, and sits at the right hand of the father, who represents the people of God and of the world, and through the teachings of the gospels the father opened up a way, to all that obey his laws he gave his son, all can be brought into the presence of the father, not just the leaders only, jesus said in st,John 14,chap,verse 15thru17,if you love me keep my commandments and l will pray the father, and he shall give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever, even the spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him, but ye know him, for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you, l am a witness, it’s only through the teachings of his son, the father makes himself known.

It was a Tabernacle of Jehovah not Moses, Moses was Jehovah’s chosen spokesman and assigned by Jehovah to lead Jehovah’s people. Jehovah should get the credit not Moses. Moses set a wonderful example of obedience to Jehovah who gave Moses the plans and material to build it. So better to say Jehovah’s temple built by Moses a faithful steward of Jehovah. 🙏
There’s no way to know whether this is what the tabernacle looked like. In the Torah We have the instructions given on how to build it and what materials to use but it’s still vague. Engineers have looked at it and concluded there’s no way the temple could’ve looked like what we commonly accept. One Jewish engineer constructed the temple on paper and only used what the Bible said and followed the instructions exactly. He ended up with a dome 60ft high.
Galatians 3:16-19 KJVS Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise. Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
Praise YHWH the veil was torn in two and we now have access to the Trinity through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who is the antetype that fulfills of all the types and shadows of the OT. His blood is better than the blood of bulls and goats. We are now stones in the Living Temple. And that Kingdom is expanding here on Earth one heart and soul at a time even now as we speak, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Hey guys! IAM PARADUSS and I have one question, it’s said that God himself designed the tabernacle including everything inside of it. It’s also said that God restricted Moses and his followers to carve or represent anything heavenly or on earth. So how come Moses was allowed to carve the cherubim with wings, which guarded the entrance to the garden of Eden? Thanks. Will be good to hear from someone who knows.
Israel, come back to the covenant Amos 9:7, Deuteronomy 28, Revelation 14:12 and many more…. The bloodline Jews don’t even know who they are as YAHUAH scattered them to the 4 corners, took the heritage and the curses of Deuteronomy 28:45-48 are a perpetual sign of who they really are today… Jeremiah 17:4 is why we don’t know who we are as our ancestors we disobedient and YAHUAH (GOD) allowed our heritage to be given over to the gentiles for a time but according to end time prophecy we are currently being re grafted into the covenant that has always been given to us & and nation that grafts themselves in with us Hebrews 8:8-18 & Jeremiah 31:31-41 May YAHUSHA (jesus real name) bless you all!!!
Beautifully executed rendering. It really brings the imagery of the biblical descriptions to life. However, if I may bring up a point of concern: the images at time stamp 1:17- 1:19 appear to resemble the Egyptian images of a winged person. A quick Google search reveals similar images of Egyptian winged deities such as Isis, Hathor, etc. Just wondering about this…? 🤔🤷🏽♀️
Before the Lord, we also are also called to Exodus. 2 Corinthians 6:17 Come out of the world, and be separate….(mind soul and body) We in our body, like the Tabernacle, house the Spirit of the Lord. We are His body and dwelling place. Your body is to be a vessel unto the Lord that He may live and move in and through your mortal flesh. Let Him have His way with you……..obedience is better than sacrifice. It is no longer I, but Christ who lives in me, the hope of glory. Amen.
Peace be with you. Moses would have never never have created Figures like Angels of Gold. Because it is written in the 10 Commantments that the Almighty God our Lord, the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth has forbidden to create something which is in Heaven, or on Earth. And it is also forbidden to create Items ✝️like this, as a Parable for someone who is in heaven. And most of all it is forbidden to worship or honor things like that. You can read all about that rules in Exodus Chapter 20. You have to delete the part with the golden Angels. Otherwise you will be holden accountable for that on the day of Judgment. And the Almighty God of the Heavens and the Earth knows best.
This all looked exact except for the Arc if The Covenant. Only GOD can sit on the Mercy Seat. Per John Wyatt who found The Arc, the cherubim are standing on each side of the Arc making a triangle with their wings touching as the backrest to GOD. And they are standing tall. Only GOD can sit on The Mercy Seat.
Moses(peace be upon him) was & is a prophet of Allah the Almighty. He is nothing else. We muslim respect him more than the Jew and Christian. He has been mentioned a lot of times in Qur’an. Abraham, Moses, Jesus, David, Solomon, Joseph & Mohammad (peace be upon them) all are the messenger of Allah. & All preach the same message throughout their lives.
Great article. Is it true that the 10 commandments were never changed and is in heaven? I came across a text which proves that the 10 commandments are literally in the sanctuary in heaven right now. The ones given to Moses were the earthly set of the earthly tabernacle. Revelation 19:10 “And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.”
Very curious. I have been reading the Pentateuch and I confess I was very shocked. Why did Yhwh need animal holocausts? Why did vegetables food offerings need salt? Why did he need “strong drink” (alcoholic)? Why did he need the burning of omentum with incense and spices to calm down? Why did Yhwh need offerings of silver and gold? What did Yhwh do with “virgin girls” he received as spoils of war? All very strange for a God…..
The ark of testimony is down in Antarctica. Its extremely radio active, hints it’s a radio,or a radio electric nuclear flux capacitor that can produce lightning discharge of 1.21 gigawatts and a nuclear explosion that level great area’s hints the deserts that have come to be. It was also used in the great parymids located in a secret hole on side that leads to center where it was housed in another casing with same dimensions to try to contain it. That didn’t work out to well so they took it to Antarctica. Why do you think everyone all the sudden went down there during and after both world wars. I guarantee it’s there. Or near tip of south America where the magnetic field is most weakest and gradually disapating to the point are compass and instruments have become useless and causing all the more n more recent flight problems and radar doesn’t properly work. Well now you know why that phenomena exists down there. The truth and evidence is out there. Just gotta find it. Those that have eyes that can see and ears that hear, it does become very clear and plain as day. They can’t hide the truth forever. Time will soon most definitely tell and their truths theyve been hiding all these thousands of years will be brought to lite for all to see soon enough. And if you search, you just might find. In there’s much to find for many of you still & Much to learn. And much to re consider and very much to correct. 🤸🏻♀️
The image at the beginning of the encampment is not accurate. It was HUGE! According to the scriptures, it was divided by tribes and was positioned some to the east, some to the west, to the north and to the south. The eastern leg was the biggest and stretched the furthest. From the surrounding mountains it would have appeared as a giant cross with the tabernacle in the center of the 4 legs. “How beautiful are your dwellings…” from heaven, all God could see was a cross.
I am doing a series on the Tabernacle. May I have your permission to use this short article as an opening each week? It would be three weeks in a church with approx 35 attenders. This is a great way to give them a visual each week before I preach on each section of the Tabernacle. Thank you for your consideration!
Hi, can anyone explain to me how Moses and Aaron justified the looting of Egyptian riches? Was it simply because God commanded them to do so? Please share the chapter and verse where it describes they are to take everything from the Egyptians. Was this their form of restitution and reparations for their time as slaves? Didn’t famine force the Israelites to initially abandon Canaan and seek solace in Egypt? Were they not given a place to live only to one day plunder everything from the Egyptians? Did Moses truly grow up among the Egyptian elites, learning their canonical religious practices, their language, writing, and social structure, to succeed under the auspices and protection the elites provided, only to betray them? Did a red mist truly flow through the cities of Egypt, passing over the houses bearing Mezuzahs but killing the newborns of all the Egyptians, or was their an armed, militant group sneaking around in the cover of night, butchering babies? There are some stories from the Old Testament I find highly alarming that challenge my faith. Anyone who has a firm understanding of what Moses and Aaron did, knows their justifications, and can contextualize it through the scrutiny of the Ten Commandments, I’d greatly appreciate it. I understand that both men were bound by the Holy Covenant, but does such a thing clearly justify the pillaging of a nation? It seems cruel and inhumane, but perhaps my values come from a revolutionary Who later sacrificed His life in order to save such a lowly, sinful beast as me.
Thank you for showing what I am currently reading in Exodus. All God’s detailed requests for the Tabernacle are very mysterious, but I guess Jesus is there in all those symbols, this passage is very powerful, driving us into Lord’s atmosphere. I am so thankful that Jesus did the perfect sacrifice for us, and be the temple for us, so we don’t have to do all those rituals anymore.
“The Word was made flesh and tabernacled among us…” is a direct reference to Jesus as the Word of God and the tabernacle was the type of Jesus. Door – “I am the Door”; lamp stand – “I am the Light of the World”; table of shew bread – “I am the Bread of Life”; golden altar of incense – intercession for us, payer; inner veil – separation from God, rent in half when Jesus died; Ark of the Covenant – our sin bearer, Jesus; Mercy Seat – the Propitiation for our sins. As Jesus died he said “It is done”, the veil of sin between God and man was torn from top to bottom, from the side of God as it is something that us humans can do nothing about.
Moses was a Unitarian who believed in One God alone without any partners, as was all of the other prophets and messengers (peace be upon them all). None of them knew of any sort or trinity, nor did Jesus teach it. The early followers of Jesus were Unitarian and this is a historical fact, known to many historians and theologians. Dr. Bart Erhman-a graduate of Princeton seminary and Moody biblical inst. as well as Dr. Jerald Dirks-a Harvard Divinity school graduate, both have made excellent detailed books about this topic.
I could be wrong about this, but I don’t think I am. The laver was on the south side between the altar of sacrifice, and the tent opening. On the north side, opposite the lavar was the place of bloodletting. Where the sinner cut the throat of the sacrifice and the blood was drained out. The reason I bring it up, The positions in the sanctuary represent a wound on Jesus body. If the spear only entered the body of Jesus, then there is one wound. But if the spear pierced all the way through Jesus, then there were 2. If two, blood came out one side, and water the other. I think this was what convinced many of the Jewish priests to become Christian. They saw the pattern, and then things started to click and their understanding of God in Jesus was revealed to their minds. The altar of sacrifice is in the position of Jesus feet. “it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” The ark of the covenant is in the position of Jesus head. It is possible to understand the mind of Jesus. Look inside the ark. The priests had to by law, wash their feet and hands before entering the tent. But that was only after they washed their entire body the first time. By Jesus washing his disciples feet and commanding them to do likewise, He shows that through washing someone else’s feet, your hands are washed. And if no one washes your feet, Jesus Himself will. Thus we who are baptized are actually priests, able to enter the tent of Jesus’ body. And by washing another person’s feet, we can enter the tent of Jesus body.
As a student of the sanctuary services, I really am edified by your articles. I would like to ask for official permission to download your articles to be used in my presentations on the sanctuary services. Please let me know if there is an agreement that I need to sign and how I can reach you. Thank you so much.
