Where The Outside Hose Bib Cut Off Is Located?

The shut-off valve for an outdoor hose spigot is located in the ceiling behind drop tiles. To access it, remove the drop tiles. If you don’t have a shutoff, disconnect the hose. The backyard hose bib is usually located inside the home opposite the spigot. The valve in the photo is for a sink. To ensure it’s closed, turn the handle on the outdoor spigot clockwise until it stops. The hose bib is on the opposite side from the garage, just outside the bathroom wall. To find the shut-off, turn the water on and off, and if the handle stops turning when turning it off but the water continues, look for the shut-off in the basement, on the other side of the wall where the outdoor faucet is. Trace the pipe back until you find the shut-off.
