If you’ve watched my last video, you saw how my family and the JD’s team transformed an old restaurant into our NEW store!
THANK YOU for doing such great, steady camera work! Normally I cannot watch walk-through articles because of the movement, but was able to watch your great article on this neat store. I’d actually been to an At-Home store in south Orange County many years ago and they are an amazing store, I wanted to buy something from every department! I’m in West L.A. now so the closest At Home to me is your Long Beach store, so will have to check it out!
We have an At Home Store in Albuquerque, it’s big but certainly not as big as yours we don’t have nearly the selection your store has but it’s pretty good. Just wait till Christmas now that’s when I like to go there, I especially like the end of the season sales. There merchandise is unique and cost friendly.
Thank u Norrine. This looks like a very cool store. Did u notice if At Home has clear containers with lids? I’m organizing/sort my craft room 4 a while now. I need clear containers 2 c what I have. If I don’t c them they don’t get used. It is so good 2 c u again. I’ve missed u & your articles. Have a blessed day.
No, I don’t have a store of this magnitude I live over an hour away from a Home Goods. I would like to go into one. I will have to check and see if there is one coming or close by. Thank you for showing what it is like inside one. I am a very picky person and if this has everything than I would probably find something.
Thanks for posting this! It made me smile and I needed that! If I recall correctly At Home bought out Garden Ridge pottery and it’s very similar. Lots of fun memories of Garden Ridge, dragging my boyfriend (now husband of almost 20 years!) there and going to At Home brought them all back! Lots of laughs and a huge confession that he hated every minute of it, but went along to be with me. Such a doll!!
We actually have had an At Home store about 30 miles from us for some years now. If I remember right, they are in an old Garden Ridge building. I know Mama & I went to the Garden Ridge that used to be there, but I’m not sure if we’ve been since At Home took over. We weren’t too impressed with the former for some reason, as I recall. Maybe too Hobby Lobby-quality without the Hobby Lobby prices…? Might have to take a little field trip to At Home, though. 🙂 Thank you for sharing this, Norinne. I hope y’all are doing well, & not roasting. We’ve been having temps up to the low 100s here in East Texas – higher with the heat index – for the past few weeks or so. Today is cooler, though – currently only 87 degrees F! Anyway, take care, & have an awesome day! 🙂
What I’ve found about At Home is they have the furniture one sees on Wayfair or Overstock. Looks pretty but it’s up on shelves and you can’t try them out. If there is a display there is also a sign to stay off. I had been looking on line for a velvet settee and found one the right size but when I was able to sit on it (at TJMaxx) it felt and sounded like it was stuffed with sawdust. Was able to try bar stools that are featured on line….they tipped and were not very comfortable.
What a wonderful store and I’m so excited because there is one in Bellingham, Washington! Depending on the border lineup Bellingham is only about an hour and bit drive for me. I already have plans to go there in a couple of weeks! Haven’t been in over two years and I use to go there quite a few times a year on a day trip. I will definitely be visiting this store! Thank goodness there is a limit to how much I can buy and bring back home because I can see I’d be buying a lot!!! Lol! Thanks Norrine for this store review!
If you sign up for their Insider Perks program you get a 10% off coupon and a 15% coupon for your birthday. They have a great selection of Christmas trees and ornaments. It is overwhelming to shop because there is so much to see. Some people have mentioned Garden Ridge Pottery and that was its former name (thanks Wikipedia 😄) and that may explain why it’s outdoor section is so massive.
Oh my goodness, I love At Home!!! Absolutely sign up for emails and if you sign up for the birthday coupon…. the coupon is good for a whole month so you don’t have to rush in … but only ONE use! My birthday is the last day of October the coupon arrives towards the very end of the month and is good for most of November (perfect for Christmas purchases)… Ours is also in an old Kmart. 💕
Wellllll Hello my friend: I’m so excited to have you out and about🤪. I know you have been doing such, but this time we got to enjoy your company!!! Great article, we have that store in our area but I’ve not ventured in yet. No reason in particular; BUT it looks like my kinda place😳🤔. Thank you keeping us posted and can’t wait for more 🥰 ❤️😀
Holy moly! I’m not sure they are coming here, but we do have an empty kmart, I think this store might over whelm me. The nearest Hobby Lobby is about two hours south. Also two hours south is the nearest airport, so the only reason we were down there was to take a friend to catch a flight. We also don’t have any of those trendy chain restaurants anywhere near by, so we decided to do lunch at the first one we came to. That turned out to be Outback Steak House, but they did not open for about an hour….Why am I rambling on about airports and lunch? Well across the parking lot was a Hobby Lobby, since we had never been to Hobby Lobby we decided that would burn a bit of time. Can I say holy moly again? I was completely unprepared for the size of the store! If not for me having to use the restroom I would not have seen much of the store. So At Home kind of scares me but I will let you know if they find our kmart.
We have one in my area. I have only found 1 thing that they don’t have. Yesterday I went looking for curtain tie backs. Asked an associate where they would be and he told me they don’t carry them. Was shocked that with all their inventory that they don’t carry them. Have gotten many wonderful things there. I love the store!!
It’s nice to see a shop that has so many options regarding colours and styles. I’ve been looking for a new sofa recently and most of the shops that I’ve looked at only have grey, white or cream colour schemes. As I am in the UK, though, we don’t have that shop here. I think the closet we have is a shop called the Range.
Jumped to the storage area to avoid as much movement as possible. Had to laugh when I saw you wave to us in that mirror—so GLAD I caught that!😆 Checking At Home online, because I’m still looking for a plastic bin(s) to hold my 12×12″ craft paper. Surprised there’s not more out there, since vinyl albums are becoming fashionable.
We have one here, but I don’t like it AT ALL. It has been a while since I was inside (pandemic), so maybe things have changed. But we were looking for rugs and towels and could find NOTHING in our colors. Of, course, as mentioned many times, your area seems to have much better choices than the midwest. Perhaps another look is called for . . . as soon as my broken foot and my shoulder replacement heal.
Hi! New to your site! I love At Home too! I am fortunate to have 2 At Home locations close to me in Grand Prairie and Mansfield, Texas. They are huge and have everything you need for your home. I enjoy perusal your site in fact it’s one of my favorites Thank you for sharing your talent to help those that need some ideas! God bless from Texas!😊
You absolutely sounds absurd I didn’t see any floral when I was there of course I got mad and didn’t want to come back there I may go check it out once more just to see Garden Ridge either sell designers choice floral I don’t know what it was I wish I did I’ve been trying to find out and find it since at home came to town I don’t like the Personnel at home they’re rude I don’t like at home so far I think you’re kind of delusional
Having spent a lot of money at Garden Ridge I am so sad that they closed they had the best floral and ribbon that I ever could buy why did they close I do not like at home at all they’re not all they’re built up to be I have yet to find the floral that the Garden Ridge had and the ribbon what an experience that was why can’t Garden Ridge come back and get out at home
