Microsoft Access 2010 training videos cover various topics such as changing color schemes, saving and default database settings, and creating custom or MS Access standards. The new Office theme specifies an updated standard color palette and type font for new databases in Access, which doesn’t affect the appearance of existing documents. Themes are built-in collections of formats such as font sizes, colors, and alignments that can be quickly applied to a form or report.
Themes are great features for making forms and reports look sharp and professional. To update palette colors using themes, users can use the PaletteSource and PaintPalette properties. The first color scheme for Office applications is set in the Account section of Access and has White, Black Colorful, etc.
To change the theme, users can click on the Design tab in an Access form, select the desired color set, and customize colors by clicking Customize Colors. The color palette is accessible from the Borders and Shading and View Properties dialog boxes, as well as the Font task pane.
Microsoft Office 2007/2010 comes with three color schemes, which users can easily change. However, when deploying an Access application under a different version, many color schemes and color functions can be accessed using ColorData. Version 10 introduced new default color schemes and a new Font group.
To check the current palette, users can visit the Home tab, Font group, and click on the dropdwon arrow next to the Font group.
