What Are Window Treatments That Are Cordless?

The Shade Store offers corded options in the form of continuous loop control for many of their shades, including Roller and Solar Shades, Roman Shades, Cellular Shades, and Woven Wood Shades. Many track systems for Drapery also have a continuous cord loop option, as do Vertical Blinds. Cordless window blinds and shades work by using sleek, ergonomic handles to guide your blind or shade into place by gently lifting the bottomrail. This makes it a breeze to control.

Currently, cordless window treatments are designed to operate with a cordless lifting mechanism, eliminating the need for strings or cords. They are built with the tension mechanism placed within the top or bottom pieces (headrail or bottom rail) and have cords hidden safely inside the window treatment’s fabric and blind slats. Instead of an external pull cord, cordless window treatments have a lift handle or button in the bottom.

There are a wide variety of window shades, blinds, and shutters available that are designed to enhance child safety. Cordless blinds are designed to be safer and cleaner than traditional blinds, with an internal mechanism that allows for easy adjustment without external cords. A Cordless Lift upgrade allows you to raise and lower your blinds or shades with style and ease, enhancing the appearance of your room.

In conclusion, cordless window treatments offer a safer and cleaner alternative to traditional blinds, providing a sleeker, more symmetrical look and improved safety for pets and children.

  • i been in my condo for about 6 months, i didnt know how to let them down or up, this, still being bothered by not being able to pull them down or up, so i was on my porch still trying to figured out to work them, i messed around with them and pushed up from the bottom, and low and behold it went up, but now i dont know how to pull back down, pulling dont bring these blinds down, whats the catch, i didnt want to push all the way up, then i am in a pickle not being able able to close.

  • Thank you very much for this information. Why in the world did they design a blind that is such a struggle to close? Look at the string of comments below from people who have been inconvenienced.. It shouldn’t be. There are this style of blinds at house I am caretaking that I couldn’t pull down with moderately firm pressure. I will try again with even firmer pressure . Keep it simple, bring back the cords!
