Is An Outside Lineman And Aaron Donald?

Aaron Donald, an American former professional football defensive tackle, has announced his retirement from the Los Angeles Rams after a 10-year career. Born in Southern California and graduating from Cal State Northridge, Donald is one sack short of 100 entering the Rams’ next game against the Atlanta Falcons. He is considered the greatest defensive player of his generation and may never see another interior lineman like him.

In an era where edge rushers dominate headlines and command top dollar, Donald instilled fear in the hearts of opposing interior linemen. The Rams re-signed free agent defensive lineman Larrell Murchison to fill the void left by Donald’s retirement.

Adam Donald’s skills vastly benefited his Rams teammates and have been compared to a 4-3 d-tackle. In a 3-4, the d-tackle becomes the nose tackle and Donald plays an interior lineman role that can quickly invert to the outside due to his frequent movement along the line of scrimmage.

Dennis is considered the best defensive tackle to ever play the game and is tied with Randy White for first place in the conversation for best defender overall. He was a three-time AP Defensive Player of the Year and an eight-time All-Pro Defensive Tackle.

In conclusion, Aaron Donald is retiring as the greatest defensive player of his generation and is one sack short of 100 entering the Rams’ next game against the Atlanta Falcons.

  • OL in these articles seem to be thinking to much as far as the guards. The tackles are mostly too high in their sets, zero punch, feet coming together(no base), not getting enough depth in their “kick slide”, just very poor mechanics. The kick slide should protect your inside first(straightest line to the QB). See soo many take a big step(kick slide) wide… you’ll get beat soo many times. If they want to go outside… Kick back.. get depth.. grab the chest with the left hand on chest plate.. take right hand and punch/grab the right side (kidney area) and ride them outside the QB area. If the QB drifts back esp in the shotgun… sack is on the QB/WRs for not getting open. Hold the DL for 3 sec… job well done.

  • LOL…this shows just how good the Ravens secondary is. Literally have NO pass rush to speak of and still can have a top 5 defense and keep teams under 13 ppg. Its so bad they had to throw an “almost” sack highlight in there for us LOL Just imagine if just ONE pass rusher was dominant for once…sigh…

  • Yesterday at one of my tackle football practices we did a drill where you line up in a circle and practice your o line a d line skills I forget what it’s called but there were several rounds in it and the first one to get knocked out of the circle looses and I’m one of the smallest on my team and got into the final round with a kid like half a foot taller then me and at least 35 lbs heavier then me and I won. So just remember anything can happen and never ever give up!!!

  • I am a 17 year old defensive lineman and I will say that this is what I aspire to be. I want to be the kind of player that my coach can rely on to fill any role neccesary. I will honestly say that I’m not there yet…but im fighting to get to that point and I will keep fighting every single day until I get there and even excel farther. To my fellow high school football players: Stay on the grind!

  • got into an argument over sumo on twitch. I said if u give donald 3-5 years that hed dominate in sumo. and they actually believe hed stand no chance… thats why this dude makes 50x the money lmao. higher level athletes would destroy in the ufc or sumo. No logic whatsoever with people these days. Donald would toss around sumos like nothing. stronger faster, better footwork and handplacement.
