This video tutorial teaches the process of setting up a nighttime exterior render for an Archviz workflow using V-Ray 5 for 3Ds Max. It covers various aspects of V-Ray, including natural light, artificial lights, simulating artificial light, adding artificial lights in the courtyard, and using Photoshop touches. The tutorial emphasizes the importance of understanding 3Ds Max and V-Ray to follow this article.
The initial step involves choosing a background image of a sky and placing it into the environment slot. Artificial lights are added inside the scene, and the video also discusses the use of Photoshop touches to create realistic renderings. The tutorial also provides tips on denoising, managing multiple lights in a scene, and using V-Ray tools and techniques to create stunning architectural renderings with natural and artificial illumination.
To test the lighting of the scene, the first step is to add a VRay Dome light with an HDRI sky map. Different V-Ray environment settings for exterior renders in SketchUp are discussed, such as V-Ray Sun and Sky, Dome Light + HDRI, and V-Ray Environment + HDRI. The tutorial recommends using an Dome light with an HDRI, placing interior lights, and adjusting the exposure until a decent overall result is achieved.

i am not sure what is the issue but when i choose brute force – light cache, in some models the interactive render and final render looks so different. in interactive render lights look more accurate, they show the colors correct but when it comes to final render it ends up awkward.. if i make both rays brute force then the interactive one and final one looks the exact same. (but render takes forever xD) this problem not always happens. i really dont know whats wrong with it…
