To unlock a Samsung device’s home screen layout, long-press an empty space on the home screen or swipe down from the top of the screen. If you long-pressed on the home screen, tap Settings. If the notification shade is open, tap the Settings icon and select Home screen from the list of options. Tap the toggle next to Lock Home screen layout to clear it (off means it’s unlocked).
To enable or disable lock home screen layout on a Samsung smartphone or tablet, follow these simple steps:
- Open the Settings app on your Samsung phone or tablet and access “Home screen”.
- Pinch the home screen and tap the “Lock Home Screen layout” option.
- Remove a screen by swiping to a desired screen and tapping the Delete icon at the top. Set a screen as the main home screen by swiping to the desired screen.
- Change Home screen settings by going to Settings > Home screen to lock the layout, hide the Apps button, and more.
- Add a widget by long-pressing the Home screen and tapping the “Lock Home Screen layout” option.
To unlock the home screen layout, follow these steps:
- Long-press an empty spot on the home screen for 3 seconds. Tap the Home screen settings icon that emerges.
- Tap the “Lock Home Screen Layout” option and toggle it off.
- Go to your Settings application and click the “Home screen and lock screen magazine” option.
- Click on “Home screen” and select the “Lock Home Screen Layout” option.
- Disable it to unlock the screen.
Go to Settings > Apps > Samsung app settings > One UI Home > About home screen > info button in upper right > Storage > clear data.
