How To Turn Off The Nissan Pathfinder’S Interior Lighting?

The cargo light in the DOOR position illuminates when the liftgate is opened and turns OFF when it is closed. When in the OFF position, the light does not illuminate. To turn on and off the lights, push the lens of either light. If your vehicle is equipped with drive modes and the electronic gear selector, follow these steps:

1. Open the door by pushing the lower portion first, then the higher portion. The dashboard light will turn off after the second click.

2. Check the interior light override switch, located on the overhead lamp assembly. Press it several times to see if it’s stuck.

3. Welcome lights work as described. If the interior lights are ON (not on door mode), they will stay ON until the battery runs out. Headlights can be configured to turn on or off.

4. Replace the bulbs in the 2nd row of interior lights.

5. Check the power to the rear interior light when the switch is removed at the connector.

6. If the lights don’t shut off, try turning off the car, closing all doors, hitting the lock button on the fob, and checking the two “sensors” on the door.

7. If the lights stay on, pull the fuses for the radio/interior lights or get a dead battery.

8. If you cannot find a switch or button that will turn on all interior lights from the driver’s seat, check if there is one that works in your past vehicles.
