The interior sensors are located in the overhead console and are designed to detect any movement when locked and armed with the alarm. To deactivate the internal sensors, press the second press of the lock button. The car deadlocks preventing the internal sensors from being activated. To deactivate the interior sensor, press the button on the inside of the drivers door where the rear doors have an electric window.
On the dashboard screen, use the buttons on the left of the steering wheel to ask if you want to deactivate the interior sensors. Press the button on the door to alarm the car but turn the sensors off inside, such as leaving children or a dog in it. In reduced guard, the interior sensors are off when armed with the alarm.
The Focus convertible should have an interior scan disarm button next to the interior drivers door release handle. There is also a switch on the drivers door next to the wing mirror controls that locks the cali from the inside without activating the interior sensors.
In summary, the driver’s screen displays three options: Full Guard, Reduced, and Ask on Exit. By selecting Full Guard, the system will be fully activated by default, and the interior sensors can be disabled.
