How To Take Out The Mitsubishi Montero’S Internal Sun Visor Clip?

This video demonstrates how to remove or replace a sun visor on a Mitsubishi vehicle. The process involves unhooking the loose side of the sun visor, flipping it into its down position, and unhooking the detachable side from the ceiling hook. Push the loosened sun visor forward, moving it as close to the windshield as possible without breaking anything.

The sun visor holders, which are held on by two silver Phillips screws, break over time as the plastic ages and dries out. No hardware is required to install these sun visor holders, which just pop right in. To remove the sun visor retaining clip, type in your year model and navigate through the interior section and headliner. There is a little plastic pin in the center of the clip, which you need to tap in and through. The clip can then be pulled out.

If you do not feel confident in properly replacing a sun visor, there is no other way to reliably/safely remove them than using the release mechanism as designed. If you cannot find the pin, you can re-use the sun visor clips.

In a 1988 560SL, the sun visor clips were replaced on both driver and passenger sides. The old clips were a little hard to get out, but new ones went easily. After removing the two screws, the sun visor should come out. For more information, refer to Section 417-02 of the video.
