  • Hi Lucas just wanted to say thanks for the tutorial, i recently snapped my interior passenger front handle, on my captiva, had a quote for replacement and fitting for $500. I purchased a handle online, and with the help of my neighbour and following your tutorial, we managed to do it ourselves with the 2 of us we had the window open, one of us on either side of the door,we only had to unplug the handle cable, job completed in 15mins, all up it cost $58 for the handle, a bottle of wine, for my neighbour and im one happy woman.. thankyou.

  • Thank you so very much for this article. My local dealer quoted me $250USD for the labor alone. I bought the handle for about $10 online and installed it myself in about 10 minutes thanks to your article. I didn’t have to unhook the electrical connectors as there was enough slack in the wires. I rested the bottom of the door panel on the speaker and unscrewed the old broken handle. Really easy to do alone, or easier with a little help.
