To remove a door panel in a 2008 Nissan Quest, follow these steps:
- Find a door panel removal tool at a parts store.
- Remove screws from the handle on the armrest and another by the door handle itself.
- Use the panel tool to slide it between the door panel and the door.
- Remove plastic snap clips holding the panel around.
- Separate the glove box housing and passenger instrument lower panel.
- Remove the inside door panel, which is held in place by the inside door handle and attached by several clips.
- Pry out the door light at the bottom of the door panel.
- Use a dashboard trim removal kit to pop out the door panel. Be careful not to use a flathead screwdriver as it can scratch the door panel.
If the sliding door won’t open from the inside, outside, or by remote/button, try using a dashboard trim removal kit. The panel has a “lip” at the bottom that can be easily pulled off with a strong pull.
Remove three screws hidden under plastic caps around the panel and one plastic cap covered screw located inside the door handle.
The panel is attached with about 12 white fasteners that pop out when pulled off using plastic pry bars. Note that you need to mark the position of the sliding door rear latch cable adjusting bracket before removing the bolt and disconnecting the latch.
