I know this article thread is old but I have a couple of questions if you don’t mind. I bought some property next to a lake. It already had a gutted out house on top of it. The bottom part is concrete slab and the top is wood frame construction. It was built in the 80s and then added onto in the early 2000’s my questions. I have already decided to tear down the wood construction on top. I thought about taking out the concrete and cinder blocks, but I know that it could get expensive to replace and rebuild. I am building a shed leaned on the side of house the length is about 25 ft but from one corner to the next there is a difference of 3+inch that the slab angles towards the front of property; how do I make the bottom PT plate straight? or should I “follow” the slab and make it straight on the top plates? on the exterior of the wall there will be siding installed 8′ sheets but the thing is they are almost butted to the side cinder wall of the property; so I have to manage to do this run of PT bottom plate first? I have no idea how to start it because the easiest way is built 8 ft sections of the wall with the siding attached as there is no way to nail it once in place but then how I resolve the difference from one side to the next; I was not there when the cement was poured and they followed the natural incline the property has towards the front; the rafters of the shed they will be attached butted to the side wall of the property on top there will be no studs on the side that has the house wall. This is basically closing the side patio area with a shed; the area is 28 feet long by about 7 feet wide not enough space in there to built the walls as they have to be built outside then carry them into place because the cinder block wall that is the property fence.
