The Wolf convection steam oven is essential for maintaining its performance and preventing odors and residues from affecting your food. To clean the interior, start Steam mode at 175°F (80°C) for 30 minutes and steam lemon slices to eliminate odors. Turn the oven off and wipe the interior with a cloth. Cleaning the exterior of the cooking space, minimizing lime scale deposits, is crucial.
To clean any surface on a Wolf product, use a clean cloth or sponge dampened with water and mild dish soap to wipe down the interior surfaces. Ensure all traces of the cleaning solution are removed, paying particular attention to areas with food splatters.
To clean the interior of the Wolf E Series Oven, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and avoid using mild detergent or a recommended oven cleaner. Use a clean cloth or sponge dampened with water and mild dish soap to wipe down the interior surfaces, ensuring all traces of the cleaning solution are removed.
Descaling does not clean the oven interior, but it removes mineral deposits from the mechanical parts of the unit. It is not necessary to remove racks or use a soft cloth or sponge dampened with warm, soapy water to wipe down the interior surfaces.

Thank you for this helpful article! I had some splattered oil from roasted peppers accumulated on all sides and the bottom of my Wolf steam oven. I left it for too long, so it needed a lot of work. However, I used the method from your article using only Bar Keeper’s Friend and a blue Scotch Brite pad and with lots of scrubbing, most of the brown, baked-on oil and pepper juices came off. The only issue I have now is that the oven has some white spotting or discoloration. I tried running the steam function a couple of times for about 5 or 6 minutes each and wiping the oven out again each time, but the spotting/discoloration remained. Did I somehow ruin the finish by using the Bar Keeper’s Friend? Is there a way to correct this?
I have a Wolf Speed Oven (microwave and convection – not steam). I’ve had the oven only 3 month but I have discoloration and “splatter” marks (not food) all over. The manual advises only baking soda or mild detergent but these don’t get the marks off. Can I use your Bar Keepers cleaning technique on the Speed Oven.
This is helpful and more comprehensive than info provided by Wolf. Thank you. How do you clean the door glass (interior)? And even harder: How to clean the interior window on the non-convection oven. My convection and combo-steam oven are M Series, still new, and the convection unit is already acquiring baked-on spots. Can you use Bar Keepers Friend/Bon Ami on the glass? Will it work?
There’s a hole in the top of the CSO. As grimy as my CSO has been, I have never wondered about the hole until I started to hear an awful clunking sound when I turned on the oven. Supposedly there’s something to clean on top of the oven for the hole? Oh, and NEVER take off the door as you’ll never get it back on. That’s why chef didn’t show that part on camera.
I noticed except for the wipe down and wipe out you did not seem to do anything to clean out any residual cleanser that might exist in the oven after your wipe down with the towel. Wouldn’t you want to at least wipe out the oven with a wet towel to hopefully eliminate any trace cleanser? I’d hate to think of cooking a meal in a soapy steam.
I have cooked bacon in the oven and the bacon grease is splattered on the back . Will the Bar keepers Friend cleanser and sponge get the grease off? it appears to be baked on. I have cleaned it a couple of times but not with the cleanser. when I use it the oven I get the smell of bacon while it is cooking. The food however does not have a bacon flavor which is good. I will let you know how the cleaning goes,
