Mix 1 part water and 1 part dishwashing liquid in a bucket or jug and spray the mixture onto the upholstery, holding the bottle approximately 6-8 inches away. Rub the upholstery gently with a soft-bristled brush and rinse the area with warm water. The interior B pillars have started to pull away from the seams where the upholstery tucks behind the door seals on the backside of the driver door and front of the rear.
To recover the interior pillars, remove them and reattach them. Use a microfiber towel with a spritz of upholstery cleaner and lightly wipe. Use a foaming cleaner to gently work it into the fingermarks on the A-pillar. Rinse the cloth thoroughly.
To remove water mark-like stains from the B pillar vinyl door trim and oxidized material, spray Spray and Wash on the area and use a light scrubbing with a brush with moderately stiff bristles. Mix dawn dish soap with water or vinegar and dab the stain and let it dry. Use a carpet cleaner or spot remover for laundry.
Additionally, try using brake cleaner on a cloth and a soft cotton cloth and water from the hose. The B pillar does not appear to be clear coated, so be extra careful with it.

For a more thorough cleaning, spray Vanish carpet cleaning foam onto a damp MF cloth and work it into the fingermarks. Rinse the cloth thoroughly and agitate the foam slightly. Repeat with rinsed MF to wipe the A-pillars down. If the car’s grimey paws leave marks, test the water and use water and MF cloth. What are the best cloths to clean inside of car?
Microfibres and waffle weave cloths are versatile tools used for cleaning, drying, buffing, and polishing paintwork, glass, britework, and trim. These multipurpose cloths are designed to gently wipe away cleaner residues, dust, oils, fingerprints, and more. When selecting a microfibre cloth, consider size, weight, softness, and color. Most microfibre cloths are around 40x40cm, perfect for easy use around all areas of a car. For larger vehicles, larger microfibres may be more beneficial.
Weight is a measure of thickness, with daily microfibres ranging between 200gsm and 500gsm, while premium buffing cloths can reach up to 500gsm. The type of job requires consideration, as super thick cloths may not be helpful for cleaning engine bays. Softness is determined by the percentage of polyamide in the microfibre, with detailing microfibres typically having a higher number, making them softer and less likely to scratch surfaces.
For interior use, a neutral color is recommended, as some cleaners may strip vibrant colors from the microfibres. For exterior use, the color will simply wash off.

Replacing a car’s headliner is essential for maintaining a clean and comfortable cabin. The headliner, made of foam and fabric, is attached to a headliner board with adhesive and screws or snaps. To replace the headliner, you need to find the appropriate material for your car, which can be found online specialty shops that can source original-equipment-manufacturer fabrics. This ensures your vehicle’s original look is maintained.

📹 HOW TO Clean Scuff Marks on your door panel
We are showing how to clean scuff marks on your door panel This is not a paid promotion or sponsorship I am located in …
Lovely vehicle. Great tip/hack 👍👍 Is that hack suitable for the plastic film/vinyl type covering to the B pilar? We’ve the same on a 6 year old Japanese car. Although they’re more of a satin/gloss finish as opppsed to out and out gloss finish (yours looked satin/gloss on the article too 🤔🤔). Which version do I buy in the UK please? Thanks 👍✌️💜😊
Thank you. 👍😁 The “sponge” is made from melamine foam. I personally would not use that type of abrasive foam on interior or exterior plastic trims. As you have demonstrated, it has removed the large scuffs but you have now micro scuffed the entire interior lower door trim. To the eye it is now seriously marred. I enjoy your articles but to yourself and others; don’t do this to your car.
Nothing can clear these kind of scuffs on plastic . Not even using a heat gun which will make it disappear but will leave an oil shine different colour to the rest of the trim . If your car is new get a new plastic trim or If you worried like me when car from new cover those areas with clear paint protection film . They are in different sizes in Amazon .
No no no! This is the internet! Your supposed to tell people to spray the door panel down with some gasoline, then hit it with a propane torch for about 30 seconds, then go over that with a dry ice blaster to really get it good and smooth, then wipe down whatever is left with a nice soft microfiber towel! 😂
