How To Calculate A Tank’S External Square Footage?

The area of a circular disk is π r2, with each disk having an area of π × 5 2 = 78.54 square feet. The length of the rectangle is the circumference of the circle, which is 2 π r = 31.41 feet. Thus, the area of the rectangle is 23 × 31.41 = 722.57 square feet.

The total surface area of a cylinder is calculated by multiplying the base surface area of a cylinder by its lateral surface area. For example, if the tank has a base radius of 4 cm and a height of 8 feet, the total surface area is 12’x8’=92 sq. ft.

To calculate the exterior square footage of a cylindrical tank, first determine the length of the building in feet and the width of the building in feet. The area is 12’x8’=92 sq. ft. not including the lid. The radius of a circular disk is π r2, so each disk has an area of π × 52 = 78.54 square feet.

The surface area of a cylindrical tank calculator is a handy online tool that finds the surface area of any cylindrical tanks. This calculator computes the surface area of various shapes, including spheres, cones, cubes, cylinders, capsules, caps, conical frustums, and more. To find the surface area of a cylindrical tank, plug in the dimensions to the formula: square footage area = ½ (Side A + Side B) x height.

  • Have you guys had success with phone measurement apps such as 3D snap? I tried it this week during a site visit. Really great, it would be better if it had the capability/option to automatically generate a data dump file format compatible with excel. Still, it worked great as I was able to cross check my “tile-counting” dimensions against the 3D image. Granted, not optimal for commercial restrooms 😂
