📹 TRENDS I’M OBSESSING OVER! (I found these on WAYFAIR!)
I’m OBSESSED with these TRENDS! *Thank you to wayfair for being our video sponsor! WAYFAIR FINDS: Rug: …
This might be an unpopular opinion, but your timeless articles are the best. Lately, everything seems to be about trends, and personally, I’m trying to decorate my home for the long term, so those articles are becoming irrelevant for someone like me. I love your style and I have following your for a very long time 🖤
Valentina, I’m going through 24 years of stored items. The boxes filled the crawlspace beneath the house. Everything in great condition just not being used or enjoyed. Luckily, friends, family and the donation centers all wanted the items. Still the unboxing, sorting and getting the items out of the crawlspace took much longer than I anticipated. Where do you store all these recommended items you show us? Do you use and keep them, return them, donate them or? What happens with the huge amount of items you show us? Curious, I am!
The black vase trio was nice, but the box thing in the corner? Looks like something that has been washed up on a shore somewhere… 🤪 I am sorry Valentina, but I must agree with the other comments here.. Too much clutter, and too much furniture. I loved it when you had a more minimalistic style. And yes to persian rugs, preferably real ones! I guess its only because of the sponsor of this article. Looking forward to the next one. 😘
Valentina, I love your website & really appreciate your recommendations. It is crazy to me how many people comment negatively, and it’s not even constructive. If you don’t like something she shows, guess what, people – nobody cares! I watch Valentina because I find her advice valuable, I’m drawn to similar items & to her style, and she has truly helped me procure what I needed to get the look I want in my home. I truly don’t understand why so many people feel the need to complain. Good grief. And this goes against what most everyone who commented about the tub had to say, but I actually really love the black tubs you showed, Valentina. I actually live nearby (north metro ATL), and I’m pretty sure hard water isn’t an issue, y’all. I think it would look fantastic!
Love love your style. Always inspired. I’m not living the twigs in your living room with all the green. Just doesn’t look right to me. The square marble table is beautiful. I would try under the pictures there in the hallway. Not on a slant. Gorgeous cuttings. Been doing that for years from the road side mostly. Brought in some great bugs over the years 😊
Pleeeeeease keep the claw foot tub. Those ones that are made to look like concrete, especially in black always seems to not clean well and leave a bit of an ashy look or residue when you do clean them. I know it looks modern, but once you add like salts and oils etc. they just never seem to clean well or at least appear to look clean on the inside.
Wow! I’m kind of surprised by some of these comments. I for one appreciate you sharing some finds and how you would style them. I watch for the decorating knowledge. Chances are, I have something in my stash that’s similar. Or if not, I have someone’s opinion that I trust. Buy or don’t buy. Your choice. As far as the bathtub, please keep the black claw foot. It’s the perfect blend of modern and classic!
I love your enthusiasm about the things you put into your home. At 62, I have to curb my desire for decor! I love many of the things you share as well as your home. My home is classic 2000s suburban type architecture and floor plan, so it never has the pizazz your home has. I’m okay with it and enjoy seeing your creations!
Thank you Valentina and Jack for bringing us into your home week after week. You both always have the best energy and outlook on life. I look forward to perusal what you have in store for us and how you switch things up and keep things interesting (secret to a long marriage too 😉) Love the outfit Valentina 😍
Happy to see you gathering pinecones etc from your yard and using them for decor- using what you have- rather than just buying more things. Bringing the outside In! 🎉 Real Plants ( when possible to use and be safely used -for humans and animals) look 1,000 times better than the ” other types” of plants.
Love some of the items, the circle sculpture just looks like a half bagel to me! I try and incorporate some new… I just prefer older. I do have a Minka pot on my Great Grampa’s upright grand piano … and I’m already feeling that may be dated. Good thing I still love it! I don’t want Grandma’s house.. lol I have modern sofas and some pretty wild chairs…I guess I’m eclectic. lol
This article makes my heart sing! I love the house walk through every time because I can pause it and really study each area you’ve designed and gather great ideas to do for my own home. I have found quite a bit at home goods recently which is nice. There’s a really nice bunch of iron trays at Homegoods now and Walmart has one that is nice too. I really love how you pair vases now and I’m obsessed with all the tall ones you own! Are those tall vases from afloral? And I do love the new modern black tub a lot! I love selling things that I no longer love and taking the cash and putting it forward towards the things I love. You could ask around to people you are decorating for and see if someone really loves your clawfoot and that money can be put toward your fav new one.
reading the comments i feel an urge to say that i absolutely adore your content and home! I get that maybe your style has evolved and therefore doesn’t fit with certain peoples style as well anymore. that doesn’t mean you should adjust your style accordingly. its just how life goes and i’m here for all of it. lots of love 💕 also love how you enjoy trends while also not losing your own style.
Hello Valentina 🤗🌹🌞you looked amazing in todays article…..😀 definitely concrete bathtub, I love it. I would love so much my self one. I always wanted the one you currently have, I never did 🤣🤣🤣🤣 concrete bathtub looks so elegant it really gives the room such a elevated level…have wonderful week…..love Petra
Great picks from Wayfair, Valentina. Now.. I was thinking how gorgeous your stairs would look with black carpet!!! I think that would bring out the black railing/banister wood beautifully. As you agree, black is a neutral! Also, a lighter ivory would look gorgeous too, but obviously it would be harder to keep clean. I’d do the black down the middle with the sides uncarpeted showing the wood, like you already have. I wonder if you’ve been considering that? 🤔 Have a great Sunday evening! ❤
Wow, what’s with all the Valentina bashing, really people ease up! I know Valentina coming up with content 1-2 times a week must be challenging and I appreciated your taking us on these different merchandising explorations with you! Not everyone can afford to just walk into RH, Pottery Barn, or a Crate & Barrel and buy what ever pleases them, so it is nice to see alternative sellers with quality merchandise that doesn’t blow the budget. I think people forget that you have client projects where you can transition some these pieces so it is not a storage or dump issue and that you are not expecting us to buy everything you show us, you are just giving us opportunity to find the right pieces we have been looking for and saving us some money and time in the research, I very much appreciate that! I do not keep many books but enjoy home design and architecture books, as well as art/photo books. My home is very small so it doesn’t take much to overwhelm it….whereas your home being spacious may need more. I do feel the beautiful large living room coffee table is a bit overdone for my taste, and I was surprised when you loaded it up, but it depends on what brings you pleasure and for me I have dyslexia so need a quiet visual landscape with less to look at. A little goes a long way with me. I appreciate that you’ve added some of the cooking and treat explorations into your articles, it is nice to see how you make special foods and creative treats to enjoy with your family. Thank you for all your hard work, have been enjoying your website for a year or two.
