Will Avoid Ram And Turn Off Its Internal Lights?

The Dodge community has been discussing various interior light issues, including deteriorating lights, stopped working dome lights, wiring problems, and lights that won’t turn off. Multiple switches control the interior lights of any car, including a Dodge. Some owners have reported issues with their 2019 Ram 3500 front dome lights, which used to automatically turn off after putting the truck in gear but now remain on.

One user experienced this issue while driving and tried to turn off the lights by taking the bulb out of the dome light and placing the map light switch in the area between on and off. Another user had a 1985 Dodge W150 and found that all interior lights inside the cabin won’t turn off, even when the doors are closed tight.

The problem is not related to the driver or passenger side front door. The switch is located at the bottom of the door opposite the hinge. Checking the light dimmer switch, pushing the light itself, and checking the roll switch next to the headlight switch can help turn on the interior lights. If the roll switch is rolled all the way up and locked, the interior lights stay on.

The EMIC provides a battery saver feature for all courtesy lamps, which will automatically turn them off if they are left. This function works normally until the car is shut down. Removing the battery cable for a minute, reconnecting it, and it resets without timeout. Most newer models will auto turn off the lights after 6 or 7 minutes.

In summary, the Dodge community has been discussing various interior light issues, including deteriorating lights, stopped working dome lights, wiring problems, and lights that won’t turn off.
