HomeFreeAlaska #Alaska #OffGrid We’re so excited, our daughter Lexxy recently moved to Alaska with us! She’s moving into her …
My mama heart is full. Having Lexxy back in the same state as us, close by, is a dream come true. We are thrilled to be a part of her new beginning & thought it’d be fun to take ya’ll along for her new apartment shopping haul! Stay tuned…full apartment tour and move in article to come! Thanks for hanging out with us for a day in town! Cheers…
SO HAPPY FOR LEXXY. You really didn’t spend that much for Alaska pricing. One thing is the silly things we never think about. Like a plunger for the toilet lol. Toilet paper, A hand mixer & trash bags. Just to name a few items. Love how Dad Joe picking out things & both boys got into helping out. Sweetheart you have 3 Beautiful Kids. That makes a BLESSED Awesome & Wonderful family of 5. GOD BLESS FROM JULIE WEST CENTRAL INDIANA FARMLAND ✝️🇺🇸😊🚜
Great job with all the shopping.. the totals weren’t as bad as I expected for Alaska! We all have that first “place” memory and all the little stuff you forget about.. like light bulbs, trash bags, shower curtain & towels.. just minor details, right?! My Momma was a savior with my first home away from home and I always felt blessed to have such an amazing mother.. Lexi will feel the same! Hope she thoroughly loves her new apartment & thrives in Alaska.
Dang I gasped at that Walmart price tag, you sure do love your gal! I’ve never been a fan or Raising Cane’s chicken, my kids think there is something wrong with my flavor palette but I think it is flavorless, so perhaps they are correct. You both are wonderful parents. When I was Lexxy’s age I was a wife and a mommy, my husband was in the Navy and we had no parental help, we just struggled to make ends meet. You are so blessed to be able to do this for your young adult.
I remember moving away, my parents helped a lot. I didn’t buy much containers, My mom had extras and kept it in storage, and I was able to take them. She also even had a lot of bed sheets, so I was able to get it, but the bed bought it. My parents helped with all the small little things, all the big things, my boyfriend at the time now fiance about them. lol
Is a great feeling to be able to help our kids. You and Joe are amazing parents to the three kids.😊 Lexi is mini you! Yes, gorgeous and a great sense of humor. The guys are too! I’m 68 y.o. and was blessed with two wonderful sons and two gorgeous granddaughters, yes they look like me. 😅 So, my sweets, thank you for another great article. God bless you all!!!
Joe and Tina you two are such great parents 👏🏻 bravo… I have to say when you said your daughter needs everything for her new apartment. I really thought that’s going to be at least 10,000 and not only did you not even come close to that but it wasn’t even 5,000 you were under 4,000 !!! Wow such great shopping
I feel it always gives parents a very good heart felt feeling when they can help their children out. My two children are in their fifties now and I still love buying things for them. Lexxy, you have very good taste and what fun to pick out all these nice things. You will be so thrilled to be actually using these things in your new home. Tina and Joe, Hope she won’t be to far from you. Love the fooling around your whole family seems to enjoy. Mine too. I have to say it again. Lexxy is so beautiful, but of course she is, she has such good genes from both sides. Can’t forget the two little ones here. So cute and all boy. 😃😃 I know Lexxy will be excellent with the little children in her new job. I can see it just perusal these articles. They will love her. Will be waiting for the exciting move in day! Love you all from Colorado.
This brought back a lot of memories for me. My parents did the same for me. God rest their souls. These memories Lexxy will have forever. No price tag on that. I love Lexxy’s colour scheme greys and white. Can’t wait to see the move in. Both my daughters now live close to hubby and I my dream come true. There is no better feeling than to have your grown children move close to home. And as my dad always said to us the door to home is always open no matter what. 💕🇨🇦
what a wonderful family shopping trip …. it was such a refreshing sight to see all smiling and excited for Lexxy & her new home …. you guys made shopping fun ‼️ What a blessing you guys are to each other too …. that is so apparent ‼️smiles and laughter and the pillow fight and antics in store just priceless … but so was Joe on the couch of Tina in the bumpy truck or boys and their dancing …. all of it just dang good perusal ❣️ blessings to ya all ‼️✝️
If you have time, maybe look at Montana Haven – Alaska Edition. They’re Christians. And live near Wasilla in a little log cabin they’re doing up. Back to you. You have 3 gorgeous kids in your heart and your love is reflected in their faces. That was wonderful to watch as you helped Lexxy make the apartment a home and choose her own things. I bet she’ll have family over a lot, so she’s going to need lots of mugs and cups for the boys! Tina, I don’t want to worry you but gosh, is your head really big? It looks that way when you’re sitting next to Joe. LOLOL! xx
It is such a blessing for you all to able to bless Lexxy with all that she needed to move in, and have her apartment furnished. She is blessed but so are you. Lexxy you and your momma are two peas in a pod LOL. Joe you showed such love for your baby girl! A daddy that will pick out stuff for his baby girl. Much less not throw a fit for spending that much on her. Now just moving in and setting things up and then food shopping to fill your cupboards. Thanks for sharing your new adventures with us Lexxy. Tina, thank you for filming and getting your articles up so quickly!! I have several families I watch and I wish they could all do it that quick. It’s sad when you watch an April 1 adventure on May 1st. You know that things have changed and grown so much since that recording. Of course I know sometimes that the best that can be done. Just appreciate your quick efforsts.
You SO deserve all the happiness, Ms. Tina! I just love how humble you guys are. First stop: “The Goodwill Store!” Wow! I wish these Goodwill stores here were THAT awesome! You’re bang’s look lovely! You look so beautiful, with makeup, Ms. Tina! Well, with or without! Lexxy and Parker are just like Mr. Joe, funny, although shy and serious. My God! Alaska is sooo BEAUTIFUL! You guys are such amazing parents! God bless you!❤ Thank you so much for taking us along! “Lexxy, I pray to God that you cherish your mommy and your dad!” You are one blessed young lady! You are a wonderful daughter, too! I pray that you have a blessed, safe, happy, and wonderful life in Alaska! In Yeshua’s (Jesus) Name! Can’t wait to send you a little welcome home gift. I’m on a Keto Diet too, Ms. Tina. Went down from 323 lbs. to 254. My A1C went down from 10.9 to 6.7 Keep it up! “Blooper’s!” 🎉🎉🎉 😂😂😂 We love you! God bless you all!
Oh what fun it must have to take Lexi shopping, I wanted the set of dishes next to Lexis that were tourquise, All my dishes are white lol. And then cups are all different colors. She chose well, does she not like color? And Kudos to the boys for being so good and helpful, they are so polite and well behaved. Good Job Tina and Joe! May Lexi find peace, love and happiness in her new home, and adventure! I’ve never been able to shop like that, to just go and buy what I like, but I’ve never gone without, God provides everything, best of all family, and you are right there in my family. God bless you and continue to bless your lovely Alaskan spirit!
I once strongly thought of moving to Alaska. A show similar to what is now common on YouTube, highlighted the extreme prices in Alaska. This was maybe 30 years ago, and I don’t recall where, probably Kodiak, but a single can of Campbells Noodle Soup was something like $4. The idea of moving to Alaska was dead.
So happy for Lexxy. I feel so proud. Almost like a YouTube anti or something. I am so excited for her. I can jump and reach the sealing. And we have pretty tall sealings. 2x my 1.67 meters size. Can’t wait for the reveal. You are very good parents to 3 very beautiful children. You all are so precious. God bless you. ❤
When I was getting started, my mother gave me her old kitchen items. 40 years later I still have some of the same stuff. I guess I’m thrifty, probably thanks to my mom, but I use empty food packaging as food storage, rather then buy tupperware. The macaroni pasta container that I bought 5+ years ago, is still in service holding the homemade macaroni pasta that I make.
If they still have a Value Village, check it out. When we lived in Fairbanks they lost our daughters luggage and we shopped for her at Value Village with her Delta airline voucher. We didn’t even know what a Value Village was as being new to Fairbanks. The kind lady at Delta shared about it with us. They have/had one in Anchorage as well.
THANK YOU SWEET SOUL TRIBE FAMILY I HATE SHOPPING BUT THAT WAS DELIGHTFUL LEXI IS BEAUTIFUL AND CHE DESERVE THE BEST I LIKE THE WAY YOU ALL HAPPY DANCING ON YOUR WAY TO THE CASH DESK I TRY THAT NEXT TIME ITS LESS PAINFUL WHEN THE CASH COMES OUT HA HA HA TAKE CARE LOTS AND LOTS OF LOVE AND I SEND YOU A DOUBLE RAINBOW A BIENTOT
I have done the same for my son, daughter and a couple grandchildren. Never took credit. Gave all the glory to the Lord. I was a single parent and always miraculously had enough to help my blessed children. I would love to share in this journey. Where can I find a list of things she may need or should I wait till she is settled and choose something. If she needs towels, Costco has really good quality thick towels for less then 7$. She just keeps looking better and better.
This might not be a nice comment for Mommy or for Lexi, but as a Father of three I also helped our Kids at the first start; Driver´s Licence, first household etc. but it was thought as a loan. What i did later as time gone by and all the money came back from them ( i saved every penny they gave me back). And on their next birthday it had to happen.
Hi. Love your website. I watch every week, but have only been perusal for about 9 months. I too, grew up in CA, am wondering where in CA you grew up? I too, am on keto. I also have a Berkey. The kids are lovely, but Kellan has really made some visible changes. He looks much more fit since joining you. And he seems very happy. It’s awesome that you have him with you. I hope that he stays for many years. You are right, the world / our country, is one I no longer recognize, and I commend you for taking control of your lives. All changes for good. I am 74 and am living in Ohio now. My only child, my daughter, lives in CO with my younger grandchildren. None of us has had the jab. I have not had Covid, I was exposed, flew back and forth constantly during the lockdowns AND worked at a local grocery store. Hmmmm?? Anyway, please ignore the negative posts. You’re doing great. At my age, I live vicariously through perusal you. It’s fun! God bless you and yours . 🙏🇺🇸💪
First: Lexxy your so pretty and nutty like your parents Second: not a bad price for everything she got. Her couch is the same color and style as ours love the table & chairs. Third: sorry Tina (not) another reason I’m smitten with Joe ( his Ford truck) I’m a Ford truck person myself my other half he’s Chevy always fun put downs on our choices 😂. Love how the boys were wide awake and poor old 21teen Lexxy was sleeping 🤪. Blessings to you and the family. 😊🇺🇲
OK now dontcha remember when everyone wore their Friggen UGGS BOOTS with shorts or mini skirts? That is still being done in CALIFORNIA LOL .I don’t know why but I do know year round in parts of AK they do wear their boot all year. Your a trend setter beautiful, you can do what ever you want! Your a resident of the world so go for it. 😘😁
Thank you Lexxy for taking us along 🤗 you got lovely items for your home. You have loving parents that love you dearly. Tina I paid £70 for my trash bin 🤣 but looks so nice in my kitchen. The dogs and boys at the end was lovely, your article’s are so good to watch. Also love the songs! Blessings to you all.
Good evening from Phoenix AZ/ paradise valley and been following your website since I was looking for Christian couple that are blogging. Fabulous parents in training up your child in the way the Lord want us too. Love it you both have a great heart, love, sense of humor and so outgoing. Love it, love it. God Bless
Was on vacation in lower 48 when this came out an the next one. Another comment about Anchorage Goodwill. You guys would also understand. With all the people that PCS in and out of JBER, they buy stuff when they get here but want to ship/travel with things, so they end up trying to sell them at garage sales or facebook marketplace or if they don’t sell or they don’t have a sale, they end up donating to places like Goodwill. So yes, there are always deals to be found at the Anchorage Goodwill. We did the same when we moved up. Sold everything when we left Indiana except what fit in two cars to drive up here and refilled house when we got here.
You guys just cracked me up! I love it when your whole family is all together, and your daughter look like you and your husband!! She’s very pretty, she’s very lucky to have you guys as her parents, I’m glad to see that you have all of your children by you and that she’s not far away anymore so this way you can help her anyway you can, so she can get her life back on track, and trust me when I say this I know you will get her back contract and your husband laying on that couch in that store was your shoes off I laughed my ass off!! You guys are just too funny oh, it would be fun to go with all of you God bless all of you and I hope that everything goes well for your daughter when she moves into her new place!!!!🙂🤗
I have savings set aside for my 11 year old daughter for when she is in high-school. For things like homecoming, prom, class trips, activities, etc. With that said, not ONE TIME did I ever think about for when she moves out!!!! So, I am grateful for this article, bcuz it made me realize that I need to open another savings. A savings of maybe $5,000 to help her get a good jump start with her new place. As a parent, nothing makes me happier than knowing I am helping her get a good head start in life!!!! And yes, she is an amazing kiddo!!!
I don’t think your prices are higher Han where o live here in the smokies of western NC. Seriously! You shelves are also stocked better. Amazing to me. I think because this is a tourist area. It’s rediculous the cost of things here! Even going out to eat is more. Well, I’m happy for your all of you! Im way behind on articles. Were your cars outside? At beginning of article on the deck. Im glad spring has arrived for you!
Wow lexxy you are truelly blessed with a mom and dad that will give you the world ❤. Your place is going to be so so beautiful and homey. Tina and Joe you guys are amazing parents. Tina your a mom 1000 you made me laugh ” who cares its my money I can say what you get” you want only the best for her. Loved this article so much. Keto is sometimes a pain in the butt if it was me and I was so hungry lol I would eat that chips and bread haha😂😂 Say hi to everyone❤
Now you have a reason to go to town very often. OH Yes! we did this 5 years ago when our daughter went off to college. she wanted her own apt. My hubby did the same thing as Joe did. and said the same thing.. he was tryin to get things done… Yes they love there daughters (an sons) they just show it in other ways instead of words. Kellen hasn’t seen the pond. I bet he is amazed to see it come to life. and to think all this time he was sledding over water. Thank you Tina for spending the extra time to put CC on your article. I hope Lexxy’s knee gets better real soon. Sorry for spelling her name wrong before. Both the kids act like there Momma and your third child is getting very good at it also. At least Joe didn’t put his shoes on the furniture.
Your such a wonderful mom helping your daughter with her apt. My parents gave me my childhood queen bed when I got married, that they purchased when i was a teenager. I loved my Sears bed. Then they made me pay the 300 for it that they bought it for 10 years earlier. Other than that, they helped me 0. Still don’t
So what is the problem with Lexus knee and you and Joe are so awesome parents your daughter should be very very very thankful to have you guys it is awesome to see a Christian bass family and it’s cool to see Joe carrying a handgun it was awesome stand on our Second Amendment and you Tina are awesome mother God bless you guys
