This article is for a person who has never painted anything in their life. Tape? Sanding is unnecessary with today’s bonding primers and Zinsser 123 acrylic primer that sticks to glossy surfaces well. Two coats of primers is also unnecessary. Painting directly out of a can is so unprofessional. And for the large knot???? No, don’t go ahead and fill anything that large in with paint, fill it properly with spackle. Notice at the end we no longer see the knot? Someone filled it in.
