The text discusses the use of ELFX, an Enhanced Lights and FX addon, in the game. It is mentioned that ELFX only places or moves lightsources outside and does not affect the exterior lighting of the ENB (Endgame Engine) or any other ENB. The author has tried various mods, including Rudy ENB for obsidian weathers, ELFX on its own, and Enb, but they all seem to have their pros and cons.
The author also mentions that ELFX can be used with CoT (Contrast Enhancer) to create dark dungeons and some interiors. However, they suggest using the Enhancer plugin instead of Dark Dungeons for ENB for fewer mods. Exteriors just modifies light sources, and the author suggests trying with or without ELFX to see what works best for them.
The author also mentions that ELFX is good for enhancing lights and the enhanced environment, but the darkening area option is optional. They recommend using the Enhancer plugin instead of Dark Dungeons for ENB for fewer mods. ELFX Shadows is a new Enhanced Lights and FX addon that aims to add spectacular lighting effects and break the limits of the Skyrim lighting engine.
In terms of lighting mods, the author recommends ELFX, but it doesn’t affect exterior lighting. They suggest using one interior and exterior mod, which are compatible with ENB lighting, to avoid interference with the lighting of mods that add new locations.

@Kavou one Q: i know that several previously installed mods had Lux options in their Fomod. I did not check them during install b/c I did not yet have Lux. Will Loot tell me all the mods that I need to reinstall to make them compatible with Lux? This is also a general Q for other mods that require going back to earlier mods and check options in their Fomod. Thanks for your help with that issue
