What Remarks Did Melania Trump Make On Christmas Décor?

Melania Trump, the first lady, has been accused of a profanity-laced rant about White House Christmas decorations and mocking the plight of migrant children who were separated from their parents at the border. In a 2018 conversation secretly taped by her former aide and close confidante, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, Trump was heard complaining about Christmas decorations. The Christmas-themed ornament line came as a shock to wider social media, considering her memorable off-the-record comments about the holiday and, in particular, holiday decorating.

Trump unveiled the White House Christmas decorations for the final time as first lady, choosing traditional decorations. In one of the recordings from July 2018, Trump complained to Wolkoff, “I’m working my a** off on the Christmas stuff”. In an official statement, Trump announced this year’s theme is “America the Beautiful” and unveiled the decorations that adorn the halls and rooms of the White House.

Melania Trump was also known for some unusual decorative choices at the White House for the holidays. Her new “Merry Christmas, AMERICA!” collection features four. However, media figures have remarked on the irony of the first lady questioning her role in decorating the White House.

Secretly recorded tapes show Trump’s frustration at criticism for family separation policy and her bashing of Christmas decorations. She said she is pleased to continue USA Memorabilia’s tradition of celebrating the season with A Red, White, and Blue Christmas.

  • Melania has taste and style. Haters will try but she has the hearts of Americans. Her Christmases have all been as stunningly beautiful as she is. I happened to think the red cranberry trees were phenomenal. She does the unusual but always in good taste. No one would have ever have thought to pull off a RED room like she did!

  • I so agree. If I was living in a big house like this I would want to explore it and have my own room too. Its doesn’t mean they don’t love each other. They just want a little personal bedroom space. I admire The President and the first lady .she very classy, artistic and she’s a jewelry designer. They make a good couple. They the type of marriage I would want to have. They work together in a perfect way. As marriage should be. Even though they have little flaws.but they stay together and make it work professionally. You don’t see that often. I love her Xmas decorations every year. That’s another reason I don’t want them to be impeach. Like they say haters will be haters when you become successful. I’m not near they level and I am dealing with few haters of my own.

  • After this year’s Christmas decorations done by Jill I had to take a look back at the way Melania did Christmas to remember just how stunning and beautiful she made it and how I wished I could have my own home look and made me proud to have her as our First Lady. For a party that was always screaming about diversity never understood their hate for Melania especially when they had an immigrant First Lady in the White House when they claimed to care so much about immigrants all the time and yet for some reason just because her husband was Trump she was hated which was just wrong. Can’t wait to return to this days and have our White House once again decorated beautifully for Christmas once again.

  • The coat looks nice. It’s a big place with a lot going on. Temperature change from one room to another with all the goings’ on that must always be happening . . . cold air through windows, little use of curtains, people moving about all the time. You look for comfort and balances. Fabric looks good also.

  • I love Melania, but Christmas is and always has been PAGAN, straight out of Babylon, including child/human sacrifice. Christ went to Jerusalem for Chanukkah, the Feast of Dedication. See John beginning at 10:22. Read it for yourself and then read Maccabees Book One, and see how Xmass has ALWAYS been pagan. Dedicate yourself to Christ and omit paganism this year. Melania will get it sooner or later. In the meanwhile, I pray for her eyes to be opened to the whole truth. I love Christ more! Trump 2020

  • Welcome to the War on Christmas! Not a single mention of it in the entire official White House article! No Nativity scene to be found. Baby Jesus being persona non grata. Just lots of Pagan Solstice and USA decorations. As Baby Jesus would want! At least they made her put clothes on so she would not embarrass us even more!

  • and who did all the work??? Melania? Obama’s were much more inviting, shows all the hard work that volunteers put in to making the WH nice for xmas.. Melanias White house xmas stuff is prettier than last years but shows no warmth, does not show how much work goes into it.. sigh.. such a different culture than with the Obamas that were more community oriented and warm… Melania seems frigid and too modally.. blah.. but hopefully Trumps will be out next year and things will get back to normal.
