WHY are you trying to FORCE the archaic work construct back into the workforce? Let’s spend MORE money, on a COMPLETELY unnecessary space to begin with, to try and cause people the inconvenience and extra cost of work travel, as well as increase the cost of the product, as that space for an office ISN’T free, and there are taxes, plus the renovations you are bragging about. Which in turn, HAS to be paid for, so therefore this will come from either reduced employee wages, or increased consumer costs… ignorant!

  • Frankly, I think this article misses one key concept, and that is no matter how nice an office is, it’s more convenient, and comfortable for a person to work from home. If the idea is to draw people out of their house with a nice lunch room, you’ll never see a return on investment. What the lady says in the begging on the article is BS according to tests and studies – Open Plan Offices reduce face to face interactions BY 70%!!!! And being honest- I really would prefer to have at least my private cubicle than sitting like an animal in the zoo on view for a whole day. Your open plan offices are literally counter productive according to research. Why people love Home office? Because they have their privacy… What are you doing? Taking away the last thing (cubicles) and put them in open plans to save money and space for a company. Come on – everyone knows that and your cute talk won‘t change that.

  • Sounds nice but it’s not going to happen. It’s been almost three years now and the office will never return back to the way it was. We still have people coming in but the numbers so extremely low. Travel costs to and from the home are getting more expensive. There is still no standard maternity leave so for women this was a dream so they can work from home while still being with their baby. I’m also able to travel while working without needing to be in the office so I can see family. I’m sorry but the office is a relic and no one wants to go back. I think when our lease is up our office will be downsized to just a few rooms. The question is what will happen to all that unused space? I think we should make more affordable apartments in cities but that’s just me.

Can’t encourage them to just have their laptops on their lap on the sofa because that promotes bad posture.
