  • Thanks, I think I got it. So even if the melting of a particular rock is say 1600°, it takes high pressure and an even higher temp (because of the pressure) to make it fluid, As it decompresses it gets hotter and we get lava. The lava, just like metal, oxidises just like a metal would when it hits the atmosphere??
