Defensive lineman Tyree Wilson’s move to the interior will help maximize his talent and the defensive line’s. The Raiders need another quality offensive lineman to fill the other positions. This is a great signing for Maxx, but it’s really going to help out Tyree. If you watch the film on Tyree, that last game in Denver, he was getting triple teams and still was getting through. And he’s just getting started. Tyree is the reason why Koonce was able to get going. Watch film on Tyree and Koonce before AP took and afterward!! BRUH!! Now give Tyree an actual off-season to train, Then he gets OTA, and a full training camp!! Remember he was coming off a broken foot last year and didn’t see the field until that Dallas preseason game. We’re about to have a defensive line full of Mad Maxx high motor linemen coming from all points of ATTACK!! And NO ONE is actually paying attention!
Stopped me dead in my tracks to post up on that bad boy. Great damn job Carl! This Defense is starting to remind me of those days with Howie Long Lyle Alzado and John Matuzak . Then came along Chester McGlocktin a little later but all violent, ill intent and pain was what they thrived on.. That’s the Raider Way!
Him and maxx will need to communicate eachothers moves so when he puts the inside leverage maxx can make the move outside, and vice versa, they will need to come up with something(code words yelled out) for eachother to know where each man is at and they will dominate the line with malcolm koonce stepping up! This will be a helluva defensive line to get thru! Can’t wait for the season already. (WE just need a QB!)
Carl… this draft is loaded with o lineman…. So much so they can get serviceable guys in the middle rounds …. Can’t get that kind of value for cb?? If they have a chance get Arnold or Mitchell @ 13 then that means Nate Hobbs can go back to the slot… the opportunity to build the defense with young talent… besides… they aren’t drafting an IOL at 13 ? Just build the defense and get some good interior lineman on day 2?
I’m still frustrated about losing Nichols to the freaking Cardinals. We couldn’t sign him, just let him walk? Butler is not the dude Nichols was in this defense, and Jenkins is just another Butler. Are we better now with Maxx, Wilkins (Butler, Jenkins) and Koonce? Wouldn’t we have been totally DOMINANT resigning Nichols?
