Was Their Mountain House Designed By Ruth Graham?

Ruth Bell Graham, daughter of the late evangelist Billy Graham, is selling the house where they lived for nearly two decades in Montreat, North Carolina. The 2,564-square-foot home, which has original furnishings, books, and mementos, was purchased in the late 1940s by the Graham family. The house, which has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, is listed for $599K and features a stone fireplace and patio.

Ruth built the house on a foundation of beauty, truth, and strength. When their home was overrun with tourists, she took matters into her own hands and compiled plans to build “Little Piney Cove”, a rustic mountainside home she designed using logs from abandoned cabins. The Grahams once thought of being buried beneath the high steeple of the rock-ribbed chapel that Ruth helped design and built.

The garden was designed to reflect Ruth’s love of nature and appreciation for the beauty of her North Carolina mountain home. The Grahams enjoyed a fall day outside their home, which Ruth helped design while her husband was away. She personally planned and supervised the construction of her mountain home, which was built from local stone and logs.

Ruth took the lead in rearing their five children and supervised the construction of their mountain homestead, Little Piney Cove. The house, listed for $599,000, has original furnishings, books, and mementos of the Graham family.

  • How old is this article? I was Billy Graham’s 1st cousins caregiver in Los banos ca nearly 30 years ago. Her name was Pam Graham . Funny story… I came in daily to care for her, not knowing who she was. I couldn’t shake this fact thst she looked exactly like a Billy Graham. Finally I spoke up after the first week and said I’m sorry but I have to ask… why do you look so much like Billy Graham? She smiled and said I should…. He’s my first cousin. Amazing woman . God bless you all

  • Came across this article after looking at Johnny Erickson Todder. I must say I was shocked I didn’t know Ruth msrital history Brown through well didn’t really follow her. Unfortunate for those marital experiences. However because she comes from a Christian family of evangelism taught scripture I am shocked that she had 4 marriages because of the principles that Jesus set him in his word regarding divorce and remarriage the 1st one certainly was biblically justified. People mean well when they say get out of abusive marriage.. If you really study the scriptures in what Jesus said and what Paul said then the bible thing to do is to seperate legally untol the spouse repentence intruding counseling which of course doesn’t work all the time if both are Not on the same page. However a dead point they must stay legally separated any violation of a restraining order the other abusive spouse must go to gaol or be tried Breaking the law. However any spouse that’s talking mean beating their other significant member is committing potential murder physically legalised Wells murder in the heart which is you know Jesus sud is a deadly sin such as these will not enter the Kingdom of heaven. Power on the other hand when someone keeps going from marriage to marriage with no real biblical justification then by the words of Jesus Matthew 5:32 she entrrs onto sn adulterous marriage.
