  • leaving the lower corner wide open seems very odd, why don’t you cut it leaving the section in that reaches the sill plate & only cut the inside to the top of the saddle . We had our door replace due to having these lower corner issues that always had light & air coming in only to end up with the same issue with our new door due to our crappy contractor throwing these corner pads away then never getting them and installing them when it was pointed out after finding these articles.
