May I ask how many bottles did it take to do the interior with 10~11 coats on everything. Very interested to know. As well as how it feels to the touch (does it still feel like the original leather), does it transfer, and how it holds up to a heavy interior cleaning and detail (can I steam and scrub clean if need be)? Also this might be silly question but if you have seats that are both leather and vinyl some interior is like this will it dye the vinyl as well? Thank you
Spraying it on is muuuuch faster and each coat lays down a lot more evenly! Maybe do the first coat like you did then the rest with a spray gun. My friend sprayed it on like that and he used the same brand and it looks amazing and has held up nicely! He did like 5 coats. Got it done pretty fast. Your end result looks amazing too and that’s what matters!
First off great article great results. I was looking at replacing the entire factory cover for my color change on my 335i. You’re going to save me a ton of money doing it this way. One question. Do you care for the leather in the same way you would with the original color. I use McGuires everything. Even if I spelled it wrong.
29 seconds of logo animation? Wow dude… that’s insane. I recommend no logo animation intro and just go into the article immediately then overlay the system ID over the article then go to traditional station bug id in the lower corner. This zeitgeist is full on millenialism and most people have the patience of a starving wildcat in front of a freshly killed deer when it comes to media consumption.
I’m doing the same process of dying my seats from tan to red. I purchased the same red dye you’re using in the article but my seats are coming out darker than yours. Do you know the reason why that’s happening. It’s more of a darker red than the bright red in your article. Any help would be amazing. Thank you.
