It just comes down to not having witnesses and developing a sudden case of not having a conscience. It’s 2021. Hard to commit any crime without detection. The hugest mistakes in my opinion, is that people who do anything illegal tend to leave paper trails. The other thing- cell phone’s and social media. If I were (totally hypothetically speaking) to commit a crime, I wouldn’t bring a cell phone with me.
Was surprised that Dennis Radar (BTK) wasn’t on this list, he was a pillar of his local community, Church elder, security personnel, loving husband and father, Boy Scout leader and was a well liked and respected man about town. He also tortured and butchered women in his spare time. Got away with it for YEARS and was only caught when he sent a goading letter (on a floppy disk) to police many years later, along with information and even some personal effects of the victims, to prove it really was the killer. Maybe they will do another list, that being said, this vid was still very interesting and well researched. Great work as always guys, keep it up! 😊
Honestly knowing how great a liar Ted Bundy was, I’m surprised he hadn’t been able to get himself outta getting pulled over with a burglary kit—if I were him I would’ve said something along the lines of “okay, I know what this looks like, but the truth is far more awkward and I wish I was a robber so I wouldn’t have to explain this… you see, my marriage had been lacking something for a while, until last month when my wife brought up the idea of role-play. Within the last month, we’ve done it all sir: plumber, pizza delivery guy, mailman ; she even wanted me to play a cop, but I didn’t want to end up in this same situation for impersonating a police officer. Our last character, which I think you guessed it, is a burglar. So, I went to get some accessories for my costume to surprise her tonight, hence the ski mask, handcuffs, crowbar and rope (in case she didn’t like the handcuffs). I already had the all black outfit, so I really just needed the miscellaneous extra items . Oh the trash bags? We simply ran out so I took the opportunity to get those as well”
How did they get away with it if they got caught eventually? He got away with it for a while but got caught eventually. The zodiac killer, the phantom killer, etc. are the ones that actually got away with it… not these clowns. The title should be how they got away with it for as long as they did.. not how they got away with it period. Because they didn’t….
This article speaks about how murderers get away from flesh and blood courts, but from Hashem, no one can get away. Don’t ever forget that. reward and punishment is a credential of faith in Judaism. As far as I know, Christians and Muslims also know that from Hashem, no can hide; nor run; nor get away with crimes, big or small.
