To paint doors and windows with an airless paint sprayer, apply masking tape and protective paper around the trim’s edges to protect wall surfaces. Cover all floor surfaces near or under the trim and door. Remove the door and place it across two sawhorses or a table. A paint sprayer is one of the best ways to eliminate brush marks and evenly coat the trim and door surface, resulting in a professional finish.
Proper preparation is key, including covering floor and furniture with drop cloths, removing hardware and accessories, cleaning and lightly sanding the door surface, choosing the right paint brand and color, and using plastic or drop cloths to cover the floor. Tape off light switches and baseboards, and cover ceiling fans with plastic bags, tapping them. The best spray tip for interior doors with an airless sprayer is a 310 or 312 tip, which produces a 6-inch spray fan to coat doors quickly with less overlapping than using a smaller tip.
Fill the hose and spray gun with paint, then remove the guard and spray tip if installed. Hold the airless paint sprayer gun (guard and spray tip removed) over the trim and door edges. Remove door handles and use masking tape or painter’s tape to tape off hinges to prevent paint from getting on them. Remove doors from the jamb assembly and remove hinges, then get a helper to stand them up and start screwing them.

Yeah I’ve tried that, very messy and you always end up with Vaseline on the door frame or door edge its a complete pain in the arse plus I’ve got to admit I haven’t got the balls to put Vaseline on the hinges then completely spray over them I’ve only tried it with a brush cutting into the hinges. We need someone to try it out maybe I’ll grow a pair and try it on one door first. Thanks for the comment
