To change the access code on Kwikset locks, follow these steps:
- Keep the door open.
- Enter Master code.
- Press the Lock button once.
- Press the Program button for the number of times corresponding to the programmed user code position.
- If you cannot remember the user code position, perform a factory reset Kwikset lock to delete all codes associated with the lock.
- Enter new user code.
- Repeat the programming steps to enable User Codes.
- Add One-Time Use Code: Up to 10 One-time User Codes can be saved.
- Change the Default Mastercode: Make sure the door is open and in the unlocked position.
- Enter the default MasterCode 0 – 0.
To reset all Kwikset Keypads and Smart locks to the factory settings, press and hold the Reset button for 5 seconds until three long beeps are heard.

- Enter the default Programming Code (O-O-O-0).
- Press the Enter arrow.
- Manually put the bolt in the extended (lock) position.
- Press the PROGRAM button once, enter your new 4-8 digit code, and then press the Lock button.
- Push and hold the reset button for 10 seconds until the lock beeps.
- Unplug the Battery Pack.
- Reinsert the battery pack and press and hold the Program Button.
- Hold the button continuously for 30 seconds until a beeping sound is heard and the status LED flashes red.
- Press the Program button once.
