This video demonstrates how to remove and reinstall the Toyota/Scion Grip Handle from the housing of a car. The process involves removing the plastic part on the bottom of the door opening with the “Yaris” text on it, which holds the handle in place. The handle is held in place by two bolts. Slidell Toyota recommends using McGuiars Interior Detailer Cleaner as a substitute for Toyota Cleaner, which comes in a spray bottle and is available at any auto store.
To replace the grab handle on most Toyota cars (2006-2012 Toyota Rav4), either pop the center piece into the clip or pry it out of the clip. A tack claw works best, but it may not come out all the way. A flat blade screwdriver that is small enough to insert into the little notch molded into the outer ring of the washer surface can also be used.
Removing a door panel from a car may seem difficult, but it is actually quite simple and there are many varieties of door panel clips and clips. Slidell Toyota recommends using McGuiars Interior Detailer Cleaner as a substitute for Toyota Cleaner.
