The video demonstrates how to paint interior trim pieces on a Jeep Renegade, covering the entire procedure from beginning to end. The process involves sanding the trim with a fine-grit sanding sponge, applying even pressure, and letting it dry for at least 24 hours. After that, lightly sand the surface again for a smooth surface, and apply the second coat. The original trim color is visible on the steering wheel, but the trim around the center console cup holders is not yet painted.
The video also discusses the pros and cons of painting your own Jeep interior and exterior trim and accessories with a rattle can (also known as a rattle can). It also discusses replacing the red interior accent pieces once your Thawk arrives. Some people recommend popping off the trim and plasti-dipping them red or having them wrapped, but it’s uncertain if either of these fixes will last long.
The video also discusses the use of carbon fiber door handles and trim on the bottom sides and gloss black around windows. Plasti-dipped letters are also discussed. The video also provides expert tips on DIY painting, including paint selection, surface preparation, and more.
Furthermore, the video discusses the use of spray paint, which is easy to apply and does not fade. The process begins by digitally 3D scanning the Renegade for precise measurements, then creating a mold for each piece using the exact dimensions of the Renegade.
In conclusion, the video provides a step-by-step guide on how to paint interior trim pieces on a Jeep Renegade, covering the entire process from sanding to finishing.

📹 Jeep Renegade Trim Removal
Many people were asking how to remove the trim pieces so I decided to make a video. Apologies for the poor video quality and …
I may have to get some red ones now. They have a 33 piece trim kit online. I’ve been going nuts with my red accents. Grill inserts, door handles, diamond stitch floor matts, black dashboard carpet with red outline, rubber cargo liner with the red X antenna nub, brake light housing, smoked tail lights, red sunstrip, angry eyes, and black US flag hood stripe with a red outline. Rims are black and red too. Go figure. This shit’s FUN! We even have shifter hoodies and rubber cup holder inserts. Niiiiiiice!😎
Awesome job. Thanks man. I spilt stew all over the shifter and I knew I hadn’t been able to clean it all. Popped the shifter piece out and once I separated the leather it was easy. I did have one question though. Any idea how to take out the piece where the emergency break is?? Feels like it’s screwed down from the underside….
