How To Keep The Outside Of A Phone Case Clean?

To clean a phone case, mix warm water and soap in a bowl, remove the case from the phone, dip a sponge or brush into the water, and scrub the surface gently. Rinse the case with water, wipe it dry, and let it air dry for at least an hour. To remove odors, wipe the case down with alcohol or white vinegar.

To clean a clear phone case, remove the phone from the case, soak it for a few minutes in warm water and a squirt of dish soap. Gently scrub the case with a toothbrush and baking soda until all dirt is removed. Wipe down the phone with a microfiber towel lightly dampened with the dishwater. Rinse the phone case in cold water.

To disinfect your phone, create a gentle cleaning solution using mild soap (without phosphates, fragrances, dyes, or abrasives) and warm water. Avoid harsh cleaners like ammonia. Take the phone out of its case and put the case in warm soapy water. Basic dish soap will work nicely. After cleaning, give the case a good wipe down as well. If you have a silicone case, wash it in warm, soapy water. Make a mixture of one cup of warm water (or 240ml) and a few drops of dish soap. Use a toothbrush to scrub the surface.

To clean minimalist phone covers (silicone or plastic), use a disinfecting all-purpose cleaner. To ensure the case doesn’t get damaged first, use a soft toothbrush or a soft brush or microfiber cloth to scrub the surface.

  • As many people have stated, I’m really surprised people rarely clean their phones. I used to not do it regularly but I tried doing it once a week. The fact that I place it on almost any surface, touch it anytime, others touching it, etc, means that it’s just harbouring a plethora of germs and bacteria. Now, I’m making sure to disinfect it regularly. Washing your hands means nothing if you immediately touch your unclean phone afterwards. Then you touch your face, face mask, other people, etc. The spread of germs happens really fast, and we’re not fully aware that we’re all doing it.

  • Stupid BBC telling me to clean with soap and water and I did that but then there were lots of air bubbles on the screen protector and it got all dirty and now my dad is shouting at me like crazy calling me and idiot all because of the stupid BBC! Don’t follow these instructions for cleaning your screen if you have a protector!

  • I got a question i just cleaned my phone multiple times like this: i put soap on the phone and then pour a little bit of water on the phone then i used some paper towels to clean the phone and then i used a new paper towel to get all the soap and water off the phone and then i used water to get all the exsecc soap off and then i wiped again the phone i did this multiple times. And i kinda have a OCD so plz can somebody tell me is there still soap left on the phone plzz and did i clean it well plzz

  • Here’s how I do it: 1. Turn off and remove case 2. Use 70% isopropyl alcohol wipes to thoroughly remove all grime and disinfect it 3. Use a clean undershirt to dry to avoid splotches (you could use a microfiber cloth but it could become saturated) 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the case 5. Once you verify everything is clean and dry, reassemble the case and turn back on

  • Listen DOCTOR! If anyone washes their phone and soaks it with all this soap and water you show, plus on the area of the speakers and all the other outlets, as you demonstrate with a wet one, the phone will be completely destroyed and damaged after the first washing, unless they have a waterproof phone! 🧐 Even doing this article you are so smug almost like you want us to ruin our phones with your carelessness 🙄 I am reporting this article so that no one will do this and damage their precious phone. I TELL YOU PEOPLE THAT EVEN THE SLIGHTEST DAMP CLOTH CAN RUIN YOUR PHONE – AS ANY TECH EXPERT OR ANYONE SELLING PHONES WILL KNOW THIS! BETTER TO CLEAN WITH AN ALMOST DRY CLOTH!

  • Not everybody is paying for movie or music services so there should be a method to know who or you should be seen as somebody more in value in job market. Truly I’m afraid to damage my LED TV screen. If you were a target for this very similar methodology that might not change and you might never now,

  • Dr microbiologist Don’t you have anything better to talk to us. We the people over seventy in uk are about to be imprisoned in our homes in the summer months for four months and a big percentage of those people do not live with mobile phones or do selfies or instagram or Facebook. We need fresh air, vitamin D essential against the virus ie sunshine on our skin and very soon we are going to be imprisoned in our own homes within four walls, we need to stretch our legs and go for walks to enjoy the warmth of the summer months before we face another winter. Most of us suffer from arthritis and badly need exercise outside the house especially those living in flats without garden. Are we being gradually phased out with or without the virus. Please anyone is there another country putting their elderly citizens in isolation for four months ?

  • Hahahaha my god. Is this the stage we are at. Actual articles on cleaning your phone. Where was this article before coronavirus? Did germs not exist then? Why were you not telling us about this then. I pray for the state of humanity caused by the over the top reaction to it all. Will do more damage than the virus itself

  • This is so funny. Remove the case? Because the virus can go trough the case? Water and soap? Really? Did they made the phones waterproof maybe soaproof without telling us? I just dont understand. Firstly if you remove the case and not wash it as well and then you put it back on, isn’t a risk of touching the case and getting infected? Unless the case is a coronavirus protective case, then my bad. But if you touch the phone and wash it then you need to wash your hands too. Just keep it in your pockets and leave it there, please. There is no need to soap wash your phone every 10 minutes. I’m just saying I dont have a waterproof phone, maybe I should use a disinfecting napkin instead. And did you just used 7 testing kits to test if phones have bacteria? And people complain about not having enough testing kits…

  • 00:48 I actually had to call my phone to find it, but then discovered I had in fact Kaspersky installed and after a brief scan the only virus I had was in fact killed stone dead at 11:45pm on the 26th December 2016 – must have been pissed not aware at the time (I think Gangnam Style was all the Rage), it happens to us all no doubt as we get older, however then discovered on a DEEP SCAN that my wife of 22 Years a few days later had been secretly sleeping with my brother who looks like the ‘elephant man’ albeit 4 years younger. I was At UCL same year as Chris Martin (ColdPlay) and how come he ends up with Gwyneth and me with a Gloria Estefan look alike, problem is I cant speak Mexican, what should I do ?

  • Isopropyl alcohol is just a higher percentage than average rubbing alcohol but otherwise they are the same exact thing. If you take a 70% to 90% bottle of Isopropyl/rubbing alcohol and dilute it with distilled water. 1 part alcohol to two parts distilled water and 2 to 4 drops of dish soap to break the water tension will clean any phone screen and get rid of all bacteria and viruses. This is very similar to the recipe I use for my vinyl collection but with less alcohol. You may want to google to be sure you have enough alcohol in the mix but this should do the trick.
