ColorBond LVP is a paint that can be used to restore car interior plastic to a new condition. It bonds with leather, vinyl, and plastic while remaining flexible, preventing cracking and peeling. It is highly opaque and can be applied with a thin film thickness, making it suitable for spot repairs on assembly lines. The paint is used by Ford Motor Company for spot repairs. For example, a vintage Datsun 240Z door panel was discolored due to aging and the owner wanted to retain it rather than replace it with a reproduction unit.

A specialist recommended ColorBond LVP to restore the panel, which not only allowed the panel to be retained but also cost less than a restoration door panel. Chris Ito’s original red vinyl and plastic interior was a nightmare after being stored outdoors with the top down, and he decided to repaint it with ColorBond LVP to make his car interior plastic look new.

  • Hi Phil/Jess, if I had a hat I would most certainly ‘doff it’ in your honour for accepting such a challenge. What on Gods Green Earth was the ‘slightly soiled’ item at 4min/58seconds & what is substance on it? perhaps this was the prototype Honda were experimenting with where the engine oil filter being accessible from the centre console ? truly you guys deserve your body weight in gold for accepting a challenge to double the value of it with some good old fashioned t.l.c., I salute you both !!

  • I remember when I was younger(in the mid 1980’s) I worked at a dealership where we fixed up & sold salvaged/rebuilt cars, we had this Chevy Caprice that was used on a farm to bring the calves from one barn to another. We had to clean the interior… We thought the color of the interior was brown/tan but after we cleaned it up it was actually a grey color🤢🤮 I tried different cleaners & found Spray Nine to work the best🏆👍 Cleaners sure have come a long way since then but I noticed you were using Spray Nine & it brought me back🤔💭 Great job guys👍👍

  • Fantastic work you two! Hey I know you guys work safely but maybe it’s worth pointing out to viewers the fact of using a mask when doing work on the interior. God only knows what crap is on the dirt all over the inside and that goes to your lungs. Having worked long in the detailing industry, it still surprises me to see people not using gloves/masks when working on vehicles.

  • its Sunday and have 2 message 1 finally retina detachment comes to an end in April going through a test to see how wide i can see and ones you do everything through public transportation you appreciate the car double sooooo easy the Corsa has a green roof battery is empty i also bought 2 battery high-pressure systems and its still winter no snow but wintertime this Honda Pilot and i know you told me not to bad but you did an amazing job i thought the Interior when you had article when start filming the growth of bacteria and now it look like new not perfect but still as new

  • Wow, great job Phil & Jess! I think those are the most rewarding and yet most frustrating vehicles to detail. It’s rewarding, because you can truly make a HUGE difference with your work – as y’all did here. But it’s also frustrating, because I want to get out all the stains, etc, and that simply isn’t going to happen on a vehicle like this. Anyway, great work, as usual, and thanks for sharing your products and methods – very helpful!

  • silly question got a new car used on parts turle wax grahene paste on other parts bilt and hammer double speed wax and on other parts 3M 80345 rosa liquid wax car has been well cleaned and detox and degreased very slick surface lol new car but nothing improves the shine do you have a tip for me thanks

  • Wow, great work, Phil, that was certainly a nasty interior. I think sometimes Spray Nine gets a bad rap, but it is certainly a powerful cleaner! It’s a catch-22 on vehicles like this, because you want to get all the stains out, but you usually know that sometimes it’s just not going to happen. Anyhow, keep producing your great content, thanks for sharing!

  • Nice turn around. Its not for me. Too gross. That’s so unfortunate to let a car go that bad. Question: I see you were using The Work Stuff brushes. I’ve looked at them, but confused about what color bristles you use doing what task. They are expensive and don’t want to buy every color and size right away. Can you shed some light? Hope all is going well your way. Hi wife.
